The ancient Villa is situated in the heart of a Wine and Olive estate located in the Chianti hills just out of the local village Chiesanuova, 7km from Florence. The family-owned farm also make some of their houses and apartments available for holidays. The owners live nearby. The history of the Villa goes back into the legends.. however in more modern times various careful restaurations have made this stunning villa into a very comfortable and beautiful country retreat. "La Villa" is tastefully and comfortably furnished, the many windows offer beautiful views over pastures, woods, vineyards and olive groves, towards the distant villages and villas on the neighbouring hills.
The ground level is dominated by two large beautifully furnished lounges and a living room with stunning views and direct access to its private gardens. There is a small well equipped kitchen adjoining a spacious dining room with huge open fireplace. There is a large terrace leading into the gardens where the Villa's ancient chapel is located; a refreshing pergola with beautiful views; also a barbecue for outside dining.
Upstairs there are 4 double bedrooms; ( 2 have adjoining bathrooms, 1 has separate bathroom and 1 a simple wash basin.) and there are 2 single bedrooms accessing a separate bathroom. There is also one further ground floor bathroom. 5 bathrooms in total. La Villa's kichen is well equipped, including gas stove, oven and dishwasher.
If necessary by arrangement two more bedrooms can be made available on a mezzanine floor which is usually closed. A swimming pool (12 x 5 m.) is available for all guests on the estate just below the Villa's tree shaded park, (open from 8 a.m to 8 p.m.) from mid May to September.

The Tuscany region
The estate is situated in secluded rural setting in the Chianti countryside. The Chianti Region is a renowned wine producing region with many famous winery's to visit, most of which produce also excellent olive oil. In the area there are many historical towns such as Certaldo, San Gimignano, Volterra, Siena.. or for a day trip you can visit Lucca, Arezzo, Pisa and the coast is just one hours drive away.
In Chiesanuova there are various grocery shops, some of which are open also Saturday-Sundays. There is an excellent supermarket in nearby San Casciano, which sells a full range of fresh local produce as well as the usual grocery items. In San Casciano there are banks, many restaurants, speciality shops, cafes and a big market held every Monday on the main square.
