Ref. 15718 - This beautiful apartment is located in the Via Ghibellina just a short stroll from the beautiful church the Chiesa di Santa Croce and 10 minutes from the Piazza del Duomo (Cathedral Square) and the world famous Ponte Vecchio bridge allowing guests to move easily around the very heart of Florence. In fact its location is particularly strategic to travel all over the city even without using public transport; the Piazza del Duomo, Ponte Vecchio, Piazza della Signoria and the Uffizi Gallery are all within just a few minutes' walk away.
Moreover in the surrounding area there are numerous pubs, pizzerias, and a wide variety of restaurants, Internet cafés and clubs as well as the local neighbourhood market in Santa Croce, open from Monday to Friday and offering fresh produce, fruit and vegetables and even souvenirs, clothing and antiques. For those travelling by plane to the airport A. Vespucci it is possible to take the bus operating from the central station Santa Maria Novella, and with bus nº C2 (direction Piazza Beccaria) the apartment is just a fifteen-minute ride away with the bus stop at Macci de Via Ghibellina located just opposite the apartment. It was reformed in 2007 and has wonderful wooden beams and ceramic floor paving that create an extremely cosy and rustic ambience.
It includes a large, relaxing bedroom with a double bed (that can be separated into two singles if necessary) and a spacious wardrobe, a large lounge with double sofa bed, and a little room in the sleeping loft with a single bed for a possible fifth guest. The fully-equipped American-style kitchen includes a cooker, fridge, freezer, dish washer, electric oven and microwave. It has been decorated with great attention to detail to cater for all guests' needs with a shower and bidet. The apartment also has independent heating and air conditioning for the perfect temperature all year round and according to personal preference, and mod cons such as a television and a safe deposit box with electric combination.
The apartment can comfortably sleep up to five people and is an ideal choice for families or groups of friends whether for work or leisure purposes. The central location and ample space of the accommodation will make any visitor's stay a truly unforgettable experience.

Description: The centre of Florence was recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1982. It is located among a number of avenues within its former Medieval walls and is home to some of the most important cultural features of the city. The history of the city in this area dates back to the year 59 B.C with the construction of a village (Florentia) for the settlement of the soldiers of the Roman army. From this moment onwards it began to flourish. A number of different dominations have passed through its streets and are reflected in a great wealth of interesting architecture: Byzantine, Ostrogoths and Lombards for example. This was the birthplace of the Renaissance, and is known as one of the universal cradles of art and architecture where names such as Dante Alighieri, Brunelleschi (most important Renaissance architect) Boccaccio and Leonardo Da Vinci first appeared. Today the centre of Florence offers a whole range of cultural, tourist and leisure activities. It is considered a paradise for shopping and entertainment with top fashion boutiques, historical cafeterias and busy open air markets as well as numerous options for night life including clubs, discos, American bars and a variety of meeting places for an aperitif. The Piazza del Duomo is located at the heart of the city with the Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral, the Campanario de Giotto, and the Battistero de San Giovanni. A walk down to the river Arno leads to the Palacio Medici Riccardi, the Basilica de San Lorenzo de Brunelleschi and the Galleria dellAccademia that houses a number of famous works of art including the famous pieces of David de Michelangelo. Another worthwhile visit is the Piazza de la Santissima Annunziata with its Ospedale degli Innocenti, the very first orphanage in Europe and one of the very first Renaissance structures. Two very famous buildings, the Palazzo Vecchio and the Galleria degli Uffizi, are also just a short distance away, and an absolutely stunning must-see for any art or architecture lovers.
