Ref. 15293 - This luxury 200m2 apartment can comfortably sleep up to eight people and is located on the 5th floor (with a lift) of a very traditional and beautiful palatial residence in the historical centre of Florence, just a few minutes from the Duomo.
Its privileged position will enable easy access to the main points of tourist interest in the city, including the impressive Basilica di Santa Croce with its marble façade in Gothic Italian style located in the square of the same name. Close by is the famous Palazzo Vecchio, and the equally famous Galleria degli Uffizi, a definite visit for lovers of art, architecture and beauty. The area is full of historical cafeterias and typical restaurants, to enjoy authentic Florentine cuisine.
The splendid apartment was restored in 2010 and is distributed over 3 floors, fitted with a private lift (with capacity for two people). The entrance opens up to an enormous lounge with two comfortable sofas and LCD television, where guests can spend some unique moments of relaxation. The decoration has been carefully designed in great detail, with beautiful works of art on the walls, warm tones and wooden floors to create a really welcoming and peaceful atmosphere. It also leads onto the modern bathroom with shower.
On the same floor guests will find two magnificent bedrooms – one with a double bed and hydro-massage bath in the en-suite bathroom, the other with two single beds. The fusion of old and new makes the apartment particularly unique.
The same area has a mezzanine floor with a third double bedroom separated by a division for greater intimacy. Whilst on the ground floor there is a huge bedroom with two single beds and en-suite bathroom with shower.
The real focal point of this accommodation is the attic, which is home to a comfortable sofa, a large table seating eight people that is perfect for meal times, and a modern fully-equipped kitchen. The great windows provide the room with wonderful natural light and an impressive view over the River Arno. There is also a fabulous fully-furnished terrace.
This splendid apartment is perfect for groups of friends who want all the comforts of home whilst away on holiday.

Description: The centre of Florence was recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1982. It is located among a number of avenues within its former Medieval walls and is home to some of the most important cultural features of the city. The history of the city in this area dates back to the year 59 B.C with the construction of a village (Florentia) for the settlement of the soldiers of the Roman army. From this moment onwards it began to flourish. A number of different dominations have passed through its streets and are reflected in a great wealth of interesting architecture: Byzantine, Ostrogoths and Lombards for example. This was the birthplace of the Renaissance, and is known as one of the universal cradles of art and architecture where names such as Dante Alighieri, Brunelleschi (most important Renaissance architect) Boccaccio and Leonardo Da Vinci first appeared. Today the centre of Florence offers a whole range of cultural, tourist and leisure activities. It is considered a paradise for shopping and entertainment with top fashion boutiques, historical cafeterias and busy open air markets as well as numerous options for night life including clubs, discos, American bars and a variety of meeting places for an aperitif. The Piazza del Duomo is located at the heart of the city with the Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral, the Campanario de Giotto, and the Battistero de San Giovanni. A walk down to the river Arno leads to the Palacio Medici Riccardi, the Basilica de San Lorenzo de Brunelleschi and the Galleria dellAccademia that houses a number of famous works of art including the famous pieces of David de Michelangelo. Another worthwhile visit is the Piazza de la Santissima Annunziata with its Ospedale degli Innocenti, the very first orphanage in Europe and one of the very first Renaissance structures. Two very famous buildings, the Palazzo Vecchio and the Galleria degli Uffizi, are also just a short distance away, and an absolutely stunning must-see for any art or architecture lovers.
