The historic Casa Gina, acquired from the Machiavelli family, together with the other farm houses on the property, have been restored with great care to their original form.

Casa Gina is positioned in a pristine location amid cypresses, olive groves and vineyards, with views that have escaped the passage of time and are reached by unpaved country roads. Their restoration has maintained the original structures of beamed ceilings, open fireplaces and large, airy rooms along with a modern kitchen and bathrooms.

This traditional farm stretches out over two hills covered with vineyards, olive trees and woodland. It is set in the very heart of Chianti near the main road from Florence to Sienna, in this classic Tuscan landscape.

Interior

Casa Gina occupies the tower section of the complex and is thought to be the oldest part of the farm. Its arches, architectonic whims and unusual curves, its wood beamed ceilings, high and airy, and its sandstone stairs all testify to its great age and many transmutations.

The Tuscany region

Casa Gina is a farmhouse nestled into the hills sloping down into the valley that divides the Corzano and Paterno hills south of Florence.

This group of houses, with its defense tower, has existed on this site since at least the XIV century. Its position on the crest of the hill overlooks the Pesa Valley and the historic Via Cassia which connects Florence to Siena on its progress to Rome. On the other side of the hill is the calm, verdant Valley of Three Streams (Tre Borri) that divides the Corzano hill from the Paterno hill.

Florence

Tuscany, the birthplace of the Italian renaissance and renowned for its artistic legacy, is known for its expansive landscapes and hilltop towns and villages. The region is home to no less than six world heritage sites including Pisa and Siena.

The regional capital is Florence, one of the world's most romantic cities and attracts millions of tourists each year. Casa Gina is ideally located to easily access all of the top local attractions while feeling like it is a million miles from the hustle and bustle.
