Podere Albereto is located only 13 km from Florence, in front of the valley overlooking San Polo in Chianti. A 300 metres of private road separate the farm from the main street. Ideal starting place to have excursions all over the surroundings as well as for shopping or daily visits to artistic monuments.

Podere Albereto offers two self catering apartments in a recently renewed granary. Iris apartment, placed on the ground floor, has a surface of 60 sqm: there are two bedrooms (4 people) and an independent entrance. Apartment Giaggiolo located on the first floor has its independent entrance from the external staircase: it is 45 sqm and has a bedroom furnished with a king bed. In the living room can be added one more bed (or sofa bed) for two more people. Each apartment has its own kitchen and his own bathroom (with shower) and shares the beautiful swimming pool in the nature, gardens area and barbecue. Owners live in the houseat side and are at disposal for helping you. The property is fenced and cars can be parked in front of the house.

The Tuscany region

Tuscany offers lot of artistic monuments, churches, little towns, a mild climate, woods, vineyard , olives and good food. It is well know for cities full of history and art like Florence and Siena, the beautiful countryside with olive trees and stunning landscapes, food and wine.

Chianti is world famous for its excellent wine and its beautiful landscapes characterised by gentle hills cloaked in vineyards and olives. You can visit its ancient hamlets, magnificent churches, turreted castles and rural villas. Florence is just 12 km away from the property and it is fairly well connected with public transport. Siena is about 30 km faraway. This property can easily constitute the point of departure for your journey to Firenze, Siena, Pisa, San Gimignano, Arezzo, and Lucca.

Florence / San Polo, Florence area

The little town San Polo in Chianti is situated in north west Chianti, surrounded by hills of about 700 metres. It is an area known for the cultivation of giaggiolo (sword lily - a plant used in cosmetic), the Gallo Nero Chianti wine, and extra vergin olive oil.

The village of San Polo is 2 km away. Here you can find a restaurant, a bar, two small supermarkets, a post office, and a bank. The valley overlooking San Polo has a wonderful landscape characterized by smooth hills leading to the river Arno and historical monuments such as the old church of Rubbiana (13th century). It is an ideal place for lovers of country walks - from the fields surrounding the property you can access walking paths of one, two, or six hours, with panoramic views of Chianti and of Florence.

There is a bus stop 1 km away from the house. The bus connects also to the Florence city bus line (ATAF, Number 49) and the pullman service (SITA) to Florence and Greve. In about an hour you can reach Siena, Lucca, Pisa, Arezzo or San Gimignano by car. The small centres of Greve, Panzano and Castellina in Chianti can be reached by car in less than half an hour.

• By plane: Fly to Florence (20 km) or Pisa (80 km). Low cost flights available from the UK for Pisa (Easyjet, Ryanair)
• By car: the property is only 12 km from Florence and is connected through the motorway A1

Further details outdoors:
• The property is fenced and the access is through a 300 metres private road. Cars can be parked in the shade inside the fence.
• The garden around the house has tables, chairs and pergola for those who want to eat or rest in the open air. A barbecue is at disposal with tables and shadow place on the terrace.
• The swimming pool measures 4,5 x 9 metres and is equipped with sun beds and sunshades.
• Around the house there are 1000 olive trees that produce the extra virgin olive oil - the owners will be glad if you will taste it.

• The two apartments can be rented separately or together. Rates include water, gas, final cleaning, electricity, weekly linen and hot tube.
• In winter there are 8 euro/day/apartment for heating.
• Owners (wife, husband and their two daughters) will be glad to help you during your stay here.
