Villa Afrodite F is an elegant and welcoming apartment. It sleeps four people. It is appoximately 60 square meters (645 square feet). It features a shared swimming pool, a shared garden, air conditioning (please read description below to check in which rooms it is available) and winter heating.
You will be roughly 3 km (1.8 miles) from Florence, 1 km (roughly 1100 yards) from a restaurant, from the shops and the stop for the local bus.
Villa Afrodite F is located on the first floor of the building. You will reach it from the main entrance of the building going up a stairway which consists of approximately 25 steps.
For a succesful stay at Villa Afrodite F we recommend having a car. You will be able to park it on the premises.

Villa Afrodite is a pleasant and relaxing alternative to visit Florence while staying just a step outside the city itself. You can easily reach downtown and at the same time enjoy the pleasures of the countryside.

Villa Afrodite is located on the slopes of the hill of Settignano. The hill is part of a protected area dominated by olive groves, vineyards, cypresses and oak-trees.

From Villa Afrodite you will be able to quickly reach downtown Florence and everything it has to offer: history, art, fine restaurants, night clubs, elegant shops as well as theatres and cinemas. Back home, you can relax in the peace of the countryside: you can enjoy the swimming pool and its sun deck, the barbecue area or a relaxing walk.

The owner will be happy, if you ask, to cheer your stay organizing tours and wine tasting in the Chianti region, reserving  museums tickets and providing a transfer service from and to the airport or the train station on demand.

Villa Afrodite is a traditional Florentine countryside home: its structure dates back to the XVI century. The restoration made in 2007 has maintained its original aspect and mixed the ancient character together with modern amenities. The charming Florentine atmosphere is revealed through the use of typical Tuscan materials as stone, terracotta tiles, wood beams and wrought iron. The interior decoration and the choice of furniture (including some antique pieces) are in harmony with the character of the region. The ancient rural spaces, such as the grindstone for olives and the wine cellar, have retained their historical charm.
Swimming Pool
The swimming pool is 7 meters (23 feet) large by 11 meters (36 feet) long, from 1.20 meter (4 feet) to 1.5 meters (5 feet) deep. The swimming pool area is equipped with sun umbrellas, sun loungers and an external shower. The swimming pool is shared with the other guests staying at the complex. It is open from the beginning of May until the end of September.
Garden
The garden is partly shaded by a pergola. It is equipped with a table and chairs. Here you will also find a barbecue. The garden is shared with the other guests staying at the complex.
Laundry room
You will be able to reach the laundry room from the garden. Here you will find a washing machine at your disposal.  Living Room
The living room is paved with characteristic terracotta tiles. The ceiling has characteristic exposed wood beams and terraccotta tiles. The furnishings are warm and welcoming. They include a divan that unfolds into a double bed. In the living room you will also find a cooking area. The kitchenette is equipped with a two-burner electric cooker, an electric oven, a small refrigerator with freezer, a dishwasher, a microwave oven, an Italian-style coffee-maker and an American-style coffee-maker (bring your filters!). The dining table can accommodate six guests. In this room you will find a satellite television. The room has three double-glazed windows with a view of the swimming pool. It is equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit.
Bedroom
The bedroom has a matrimonial bed (160 cm/62 inches, wider than a queen-size bed). The room has a double-glazed window with a view of a little stream and of vegetation. The bedroom is equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit.
Bathroom
The bathroom is spacious and equipped with a washbasin, a toilet, a fully enclosed shower and a hairdryer.

The Tuscany / Firenze Province region

Located in the heart of Italy, Tuscany is surely one of the most famous Italian landscapes. The essence of this beautiful region are its natural, artistic, and cultural heritage.

Bounded by the Ligurian and the Tyrrhenian Sea (two arms of Mediterranean), this region is divided into ten provinces, whose capitals are Arezzo, Florence, Grosseto, Livorno, Lucca, Massa-Carrara, Pisa, Pistoia, Prato and Siena. Florence is the capital city of the region itself.

What about a drop in on “Mugello”? It is a countryside surrounded by oaks, chestnut trees and by the Apennines, This land of artists and painters have been source of inspiration in its farmhouses and colours. with kind people, authentic cooking, good wine, plus a great tradition in handicrafts.

Versilia is an area of 20 km sandy beaches located in the north of the region. The seaside with the colourful bathing areas is rich in bars and meeting places. Camaiore, Forte dei Marmi, Massarosa, Pietrasanta, Seravezza, Stazzema and Viareggio are the towns of this beautiful coast.

The Florence area

Florence, acknowledged by Unesco as a World Heritage Site, is home to some of the most famous works of art on earth. It is one of the most beautiful cities in the world, with an historical center which is itself an open air museum, given the overwhelming abundance of monuments, churches and palaces, mostly masterpieces of architecture.

Florence got its name from the Romans, in the I century, who founded a small settlement along the Arno river, not far from the Etruscan village of Fiesole, whose ruins can still be visited nowadays. They called it Florentia, the florid city.

And indeed florid it became. From 1200 to 1700 Florence was one of the capitals of art, culture and international trade of the civilized world. For over 500 years an incredible amount of work of arts was produced and collected in Florence, which is nowadays visited by no less than 8 millions of tourists every year. Sights such as Palazzo Vecchio, the Uffizi, the Ponte Vecchio, the gardens of Boboli and the magnificent Cathedral with the bell tower designed by Giotto are just a few of the sights not to be missed, along with a healthy Fiorentina steak on the bone and a glass of good Chianti wine.
