The Tuscany / Firenze Province region

Located in central Italy, Tuscany is known for its rich history, art, beautiful landscapes, delicious food, and superb wines.
The beautiful cities of Florence and Siena contain some of Italy's most famous artistic treasures. Tuscany is also home to many scenic hill towns.
From the mountains in the north to the gently rolling Chianti Hills and the barren Crete Senesi, the Tuscan countryside offers an ideal place to relax with family and friends.
The Florence area
A visit to Tuscany wouldn't be complete without taking in the sights and sounds of one of the greatest artistic capitals in the world. Located in the northern part of Tuscany on the Arno River, the city of Florence is a beautiful monument to the Renaissance. Stay in Florence and experience Florentine life for yourself or plan a day trip if you're staying in another part of Tuscany.
The historic heart of Florence is closed to traffic and surprisingly compact. The majority of sights can be easily reached on foot so visitors do not need a car. Florence has excellent bus service which is reliable and convenient. If you are staying in Florence, you can make a day trip by train or bus to other sights in Tuscany.
After visiting the magnificent Duomo, Baptistry, and Campanile, stroll through the San Lorenzo street market and pick up fresh food at the Mercato Centrale, a two story covered market which sells fresh pasta, bread, cheese, meat, poultry, fish, ham, and fresh fruit, vegetables, and flowers. A short walk towards the Arno is the Piazza della Signoria with the Palazzo Vecchio, the town hall, and the Uffizi, one of Italy's leading art galleries.

My wife and I stayed in an apartment for two months, during which time we thoroughly enjoyed the ambiance and very splendid views over historic Florence from the extensive and very beautiful gardens. |

Guestbook for Casa Rosa
- The property is fantastic and we had marvellous and relaxing days in the company of Cocobello, the parrot, as well as the other animals that live in the farm.
- We have been several times in Florence, but the last time we found this lovely place with the most incredible view of Florence. We won't forget.
- The garden is really unique and excellent for the ones that need to relax. The variety of plants and flowers is amazing, as well as the vegetables garden.
