The Austrian Alps and Flachau are just 45 minutes drive south from Salzburg. The area is a genuine year round holiday destination with local activities including skiing, cycling, mountain biking, walking, golf, horse riding and a wide range of adventure sports.
Flachau area
Flachau is an alpine village at the centre of Ski Amade, the largest single pass ski area in Austria, covering 278 lifts and 860 km of pistes. Flachau has an excellent snow record and has invested millions of pounds in both state of the art ski lifts and snow making equipment across the entire mountain. Famous for being the home of Olympic skiing champion, Herman Maier, the village combines both a relaxed village atmosphere with good quality bars and restaurants.

Flachau is only 45 minutes by motorway from Salzburg Airport. Numerous airlines fly to Salzburg from the UK, including British Airways, Ryanair, Thomsonfly, Flybe, Sky-Europe There is an extensive choice of car hire, taxis or coach for the transfer. If required, we can arrange pick-up and drop-off transfers from Salzburg Airport. Munich Airport is two hours away.
