About the home

Situated in Northern Tuscany in spectacular mountain region in the heart of Lunigiana (The Land of the Moon). This is a three story Villa with three bedrooms. The master bedroom with king size bed and an en suite with full bath, separate shower, toilet and vanity unit. The second bedroom is a Double room/Twin. The third bedroom is a large single room which can hold an extra full size fold away bed. One main bathroom with shower, toilet, basin and bidet.

A fully equipped modern kitchen with all appliances including table and chairs for six. There are double doors leading from the kitchen to the main large outside terrace where you can sit under a cedar beam canopy with table and chairs for eight people
There are two sitting rooms one directly of the kitchen on the second floor with TV and DVD player and couch. The second sitting area is on the ground floor with leather couches and a bar area and outside terrace.

This villa although it is over 150 years old has been beautifully modernised . The rooms are all cool in the summer due to the thick walls and warm and cosy in winter
The master bedroom can facilitate comfortable an extra full length fold away single bed , which can be provided on request

Further details outdoors:
Secure parking is accessed from road up to second terrace with ample space for two cars.
There is an outside authentic wood burning pizza oven.
There is also an outside toilet and shower on the first terrace
The main terrace which is just of the kitchen has large dinning area and sun loungers and relaxing garden chairs
The lower terrace just outside the sitting lounge / bar has spectular views of the mountains and valley where you can sit and watch the sun go down or the eagles flying high over head

Strictly no smoking except outside.
Due to open plan, stairwell may not be suitable for some young children.
All bedrooms have fans.
All rooms have windows fitted with mosquito netting.

The Fivizzano / Agnino area

The village of Agnino is nestled in the heart of the mountains of Lunigiana with spectacular views. You have a local shop / bar called Bar Twin where Roberto the owner will make you feel very welcome. There is also a post office and a bakers where early in the morning you can buy the famous Agnino bread hot out of the ovens before been despatched around the local towns and villages.
There is also a variety of wild life in the area which if you are fortunate you will see, deer, eagles, falcons.
The local outdoor 30 meter swimming pool is only a 10 min drive away in Cormezzano where there are diving boards and a waterslide and sun loungers and coffee shop and a seperate pool and pool area for younger children

The Medieval town of Fivizzano is only 10 mins drive away. What you will love about this place is its quaintness .Here you will find dedicated shops where you can buy fresh produce and local breads and fruit and wines.There are also a number of banks, pharmacies, hair saloons, dry cleaners, coffee shops and the hospital.
There are a number of restaurants to choose from but our favourite is the Medici Restaurant where Teresa the owner cooks the most amazing pizza's and pasta dishes and her bread is to die for. This restaurant is very popular with all the locals.
In the Piazza Medici you will also find Cafe Ricci where Stephanie and her sisters have the most delicious gelato and pasteries. Here you can sit and relax over a coffee and a nice cool beer or glass of wine especially on Tuesdays when it is market day in the square
There is a magnificent fountain dating back to the 16th century in the piazza built by the Medici family and a beautiful Medieval church with original bells that ring out on the hour. The Fivizzano Museum of Printing.is also worth a visit.

Festivals: every July there is an amazing medieval archery festival in Fivizzano and all the locals dress in medieval costumes and parade through the streets. In September they have the world Tango festival.
Most of the local towns / villages have festivals through out the summer months.
The nearest place for sking is Cerreto Laghi only 17kms away, a 30 min drive by car . Here you will find a beautiful village surrounded by mountains only one road in and a lovely lake in the center of the village. There are a number of ski runs and a nursery slope. There are a number of restaurants and coffee shops/ bars and clothes shop mainly selling ski gear . This is the place to be on New Years Eve there is an amazing atmosphere , with people dancing in the ice skating ring and skiers sking down the slopes at midnight with coloured lights and fire works
Equi Terme is only a 20 min drive away and has amazing under ground caves and a termal spa with out door swimming pool In winter the village and all the locals put on a live nativity play which is well worth a visit

Fly to Airports. Pisa 1 Hour 10 mins, Genoa 1 Hour 30 mins, Bologna 2 Hours 30 mins to Villa. With Ryanair.com, Easyjet.co.uk and many other airline companies.

Car hire essential and can be booked with all rental companies. We would recommend Autoeurope as they cover most car hire companies.

Take the Autostrada from all airports and exit to Aulla, follow signs for Fivizzano (13 km) then follow signs for Agnino (5 km).
