About the home

The Villa is located in Fitts Village, 10 minute walk from the famous Cliff Restaurant and Jordans supermarket, and just 5 minutes stroll to beach, where a variety of water sports are available. Superb snorkelling and diving off the beach where tropical fish, sea horses and turtles can all be seen on the reef in the crystal clear water. A Dive master is on site who can arrange all diving and boat trips. Holetown is a short 10 minute drive or bus ride away.

There are two world class golf courses close by, Sandy Lane and Royal Westmoreland both offer pay as you play.

The villa has large balconies where you can relax and dine, while enjoying the views of the ocean,watching the cruise liners and sail boats and the spectacular sunsets.

The villa is ideally situated for guests who want either an action packed activity holiday or to simply relax around the pool or beach.

The property is a luxurious villa set in a small community of just seven homes. The kitchen is fully equipped with a plentiful supply of utensils, serving dishes, china, glasses and also a selection of non-breakable glasses. plates and dishes.

All windows and patio doors are double glazed and each room and balcony has a ceiling fan. All the bedrooms have air condtitioning. The bathrooms are fully tiled and all have a shower, the master bedroom en suite also has a bath. A stairgate is provided.

There is a safe for all your valuables.

Lightweight deckchairs, freezer bag and beach towels are provided for use on the beach.

Further details outdoors:
The gardens are landscaped with lawns and luscious tropical plants which attract numerous Hummingbirds. The swimming pool has a slide and springboard and is gated and fenced for added safety. There is access to the rear of the property where a clothes line is provided. A parking space is allocated adjacent to the villa.

A welcome pack of basic groceries will be provided. If any guests have a specific request, we will try and accommodate them.

Guests are welcome to remain at the house on their last day, until it is time to leave for the airport as we do not accept same day changeovers.

A local pay as you go mobile phone is also available for guests to use.

The pool is available from 0600 hours until 2100 hours.

Conditions

A £200.00 deposit is payable on booking, balance to be paid six weeks before rental date.

A refundable breakages deposit of £200.00 is payable on arrival, this will be refunded within two weeks of your departure, subject to a satisfactory inspection.

The property is non-smoking.

The St James Parish region

The villa is on the West coast of the island where the sparkling sea is warm, calm and crystal clear. The beaches are beautiful, soft white sand and all are open to the public - perfect for all watersports and safe for families.

Holetown and the second largest town, Speightstown are both a short distance to the north. Bridgetown is located to the south of the property.

All three towns have a wide selection of restaurants, shops and banks. Perfect for dining, Tax free shopping and a variety of activities.

Bridgetown has horse racing at the Garrison Savannah, cricket at the famous Kensington Oval, spectacular helicopter tours from the heliport, Atlantis submarine trips from the harbour and sea fishing and boat charters are available from the Waterside.

Polo, Horse Riding, biking and hiking are all available at several locations on the island.

Barbados is an island of festivals including the Jazz festival and wind surfing championships in January, Holetown Festival, Holders season and the Gold Cup in February and March, Gospelfest in May, Crop Over from July to August, and the surfing championships in November, to mention just a few - something for everybody.

A trip to the East coast and Scotland district are a must - where the sea is rough and the scenery rugged.

Hire car, taxis and public transport are all readily available.

Sample the local dishes of Flying fish, Macaroni pie, Rice and Peas - Oistins Fish Fry on Friday evening is the perfect introduction to all local dishes at reasonable prices.

There is a restaurant on the island to suit all tastes and pockets.

Barbados is one of the most popular islands - fabulous climate, gorgeous blue sea, brilliant white sandy beaches and a warm, friendly welcome - enjoy.

The Fitts Village area

Fitts Village is a small community with many attractions and amenities, close to Holetown.

Jordans supermarket offers a full range of groceries, alcohol and household goods at reasonable prices and late night opening.

Fine dining is available at the famous Cliff Restaurant and the Calabaza both a few minutes walk from the villa, and both offer views over the Caribbean ocean, or try the famous Marshalls bar, close to Holetown, which offers local food at reasonable prices and is a must for cricket enthusiasts. Be sure to explore the many restaurants and bars available on First and Second street in Holetown.

In February, the Holetown Festival celebrates the arrival of the English settlers in 1627, it is now one of the island's biggest events with street fairs and music.

Holders Festival in March is the Caribbeans leading festival of classical music and opera held at Holders House, a gorgeous old plantation house and private home, just inland from Sandy Lane.

Sandy Lane also has an 18 hole golf course.

Sunset Crest has the Chattel House Village and West Coast mall, both superb for browsing and shopping, with many local crafts available.

Be sure to include a visit to the many public beaches along the coast, some can be accessed by water taxi which leaves from Crystal Cove.
