About the home

Villa Tepee can either be used as a perfect base to stay when exploring the diverse countryside and historic sites, or a home to relax in and take it easy - maybe a dip in one of the pools if things get too much.

There are plenty of great places to eat in the village itself and the wine cellars (and sellers) can provide you with great tasting wine too. If you prefer to cook your evening meals, then the well equipped kitchen and the large dining tables (one inside and one out) will enable you to make the most of your evenings.

To the rear of the villa is a large covered terrace, with terrace furniture and a south-facing garden with sun loungers and reclining chairs.

There is also a brick BBQ located at the side of the villa with views down to the sea.

The Languedoc-Roussillon / Aude region

The Languedoc-Rousillon is a relatively undiscovered area of the South of France, which combines 300 days of sunshine with over 200 km of sandy beaches, two mountain ranges and dozens of lakes, rivers and canals. Nestling in the foothills of the Corbiere mountains is the lovely old wine-making village of Fitou which has a bakery, small shop and bar, restaurants and numerous local wine cellars.

The Fitou / Domaine des Capitelles area

Fitou is on the coast, 20 minutes from Perpignan and 30 minutes from the Spanish border.The Domaine is situated just above the village and is surrounded by vinyards as you would expect in this area. The villas are all privately owned and have a holiday feel to them.
Fitou Chateau is a 10th Century French National Monuent and worth a visit and a trip to the bar/restaurant afterwards with fantastic views over the village, the sea and surrounding area.
There are plenty of other Cathar castles to visit, the world heritage site of Carcassonne is 45 minutes away.
Mountain biking (VTT) is big in the foothills of the corbiere mountains and the pyrenees if you are feeling active.
Fitou fete is always on 4th August and is an amazing spectacle with the main focus on wine, food and music.
