Strumble head is one of the most dramatic stretches of coastline in Pembrokeshire, the rugged coastline is the closest point to Ireland and there is easy access on to the 180-mile coastal path within easy walking distance of the cottage. The area is well known as a haven for rare birds, wild flowers and seals, all of them can be seen from the observatory on the headland. There are a selection of beaches within a few minutes drive of the property with the smugglers coves of Abermawr and Aberbach being amongst the two nearest. The cottage has been beautifully restored and is in a quiet and peacefull location yet only a short drive to the towns of Goodwick and Fishguard.

Pembrokeshire's attraction is its peace and tranquillity which has a hypnotic effect on visitors who return year after year, if not more frequently. the coatsline and villages have changed very little over the centuries.
The superb sandy beaches and quit coves, once the haunt of smugglers, are around every twist and turn of the coastal lanes. Both on the coast and in the Preseli hills there is a profusion of beautiful wild flowers,encouraged by the mild climate, high sunshine hours and influeneced by the Gulf Stream. Pembrokeshire is a haven for nature lovers with foxes, badgers and birds too numerous to mention literally on your doorstep.
Fishguard / Strumble Head area
Strumble head is a spectacular place to visit at anty time, when the strong gales pound the cliffs the scene can be as dramatic as the waves crash on the rocks below. When the sun shines it provides one of the best views on the Pembrokeshire coast. There is an Iron Age hill fort called Garn Fawr and the climb to the summit is the highest point on the head, with spectacular views and the remains of the fort clearly viewed. Seals and porpoise can be seen in the sea beneath the Lighthouse.
Close to Strumble head are the towns of Goodwick and Fishguard, with the picturesque Lower Town Harbour and the ferry port in Goodwick which offers daily sailings to Ireland.

Further details indoors: The cottage has been beautifully restored and decorated to the highest standard with every modern convenience and a sympathetic eye to its origins. The entrance opens into the hallway and leads into the LOUNGE/KITCHEN DINER , which is cosy warm and welcoming. LOUNGE area has an oak wooden floor and is furnished with a comfortable gold and terracotta sofa and matching chairs, colour TV, video and items of occasional furniture. The patio doors leads off the lounge onto a decked area where one can sit and unwind after an exhilarating walk on the coastal path. KITCHEN area is extremely well equipped with solid wooden units, tiled floor, electric hob with built in oven, microwave oven, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and automatic washer dryer, there is also a conveniently positioned breakfast bar and four stools between the kitchen and lounge area making it an ideal position for dining. MASTER BEDROOM contains a solid pine double bed with bedside tables, wardrobe, dressing table and colour TV. EN SUITESHOWER ROOM contains shower cubicle, wash hand basin and WC. SECOND BEDROOM contains twin pine beds and matching coordinating bedroom furniture and a colour TV. Pretty bedlinen is provided for the beds which all have duvets. A travel cot and highchair are provided. BATHROOM contains bath, hand held shower over bath, wash hand basin and WC. There is a lawned garden and patio area to the rear of the cottage that is fenced and safe for children. Garden furniture and barbecue are provided. There is ample parking to the side of the cottage. Regrettably no pets. There is full oil central heating throughout the cottage and all electricity and oil are included in the rental. Towels included in rental.
