Location! That is the word to describe the unique position of this modern country villa. Settled on the hillside overlooking the sea and the peninsula of Athera. This two story stone built home was originally built but never finished in 1874.
We, the owners, had the vision to retain the original charm while bringing all the modern conveniences in. Truly a one of a kind infinity lap pool that blends in with nature and the surrounding countryside. The villa suits up to 4 people with the option of the annexe (which hosts a third bedroom for 2 additional guests) overlooking the pool.

The Ionian Islands region
The sun sea and islands have been attracting visitors to Greece for many years. Cephalonia is a relative newcomer to the tourism industry. The traditional charm and flavour of the island has been retained, which is what makes it such a wonderful destination.
Being the birthplace of democracy, philosophy, and sciences, Greeks are proud of their rich culture and ancestry, and are delighted when foreigners show genuine interest in their cultural heritage and customs. The weather in early and late season can be variable, with intermittent rain and temperatures dropping in the evening. The summer is hot and dry with temperatures regularly exceeding 38 degrees C between June and September.
Cephalonia is a beautiful island with much to offer -- including dramatic landscapes, picture-postcard villages, colourful harbours, stunning beaches and a fascinating history. There are so many places to explore in Cephalonia -- you could visit Argostoli, the bustling capital of the island, or go to the underground lake at Melissani cave, or see the stalactites and stalagmites at the cave of Drogarati.
If history is more your thing, then there are Venetian fortresses, Byzantine remains, Mycenaean tombs and Roman mosaics. In short, Cephalonia is full of variety and is a perfect place to escape to and enjoy the richness and authenticity of island life.

This has been our 2nd stay at Villa Trizoni in 2 years which is an indication of how beautiful the place and its surroundings are. The photos on the site do not do it true justice as everything that Shari and Tasso have done to restore the Villa has been completed to the very highest standard with impeccable taste. It was a privilege to have spent the last two weeks in a perfect hideaway to really unwind within such a beautiful setting. Each morning when we got up and took in the view from the house or pool we were just in awe. I simply cannot recommend this place enough. Car hire is a must in Kefalonia and there are local beaches, tavernas and also shops (within a local village) within 5/10 minutes drive for all essentials (Alpha beer and orange cake). The picturesque harbour town of Fiscardo is 15 minutes away with a wide range of quality restaurants, shops, a local bakery and cocktail bars where you can laze the day or evening away watching the boats come in and out. Our tip would be to hire a motor boat from Fiscardo so you can spend the entire day dropping into small coves and beaches to relax and snorkel. All boats come fully equipped with a canopy to shield yourself from the sun, water, snorkel equipment etc and are easy to get the hang of - you will find yourself dropping anchor in secluded bays or making your way over to the island of Ithaca within no time. Enjoy!

"A unique combination of beauty, style and utter convenience"
We returned because we are charmed and thrilled by what Shari and Tassos have done. The villa is a work of art and is beautifully suited to the locale. Beaches and taverna abound with plenty of walks too. Do not fret about the drive from the airport. Take it slowly and enjoy the goats. We shall be back

Everything was wonderful-the villa, the views, the area, the people, the food in tavernas, the weather. We were totally relaxed in the wonderful peace and quiet. We couldn't have been happier. We had the most fantastic holiday and hope to return next year.

"Villa Trizoni, luxurious, peaceful and serene"
Entering the garden at Villa Trizoni, you are faced with the most amazing vista across the terrace and large infinity pool to the Ionian sea. This lovely old stone house has been tastefully restored into a stunning villa with modern fixtures and fittings, and is beautifully decorated with stylish furniture and unique artwork throughout. All the rooms are clean and spacious and the kitchen has all mod cons. Outside, the large terrace wraps around the house and provides areas for dining, watching the sun set or lazing in the shade under large sails. If you can tear yourself away from this peaceful villa, there are some amazing beaches just minutes away by car for swimming and snorkelling. The owners, Shari and Tasso, have created a very special place in a magical setting and we didn't want to leave.

"Peace & Tranquility at Villa Trizoni"
Just spent two wonderful weeks here recovering after breaking my leg in April. Villa Trizoni more than lives up to the pictures on its website. It's stylish & uncluttered and blends perfectly with its surroundings. Sea views from every room and the balcony is the perfect place to sit and watch the sunset G & T in hand. We loved the patio area with loads of space to chill and relax or enjoy a BBQ (the potted basil a lovely touch). The poolhouse is great accommodation for older children/teenagers. The 3 ensuite bathrooms a good size and the beds comfy. Linen & towels were changed twice a week. The owners Shari & Tasso were welcoming and helpful but unobtrusive. If you want to venture out, Fiscardo is about 10mins drive away, a very pretty harbour with a good choice of restaurants and a couple of bars and the nearest village Maganos has two supermarkets and a Taverna that did a great pig roast on Saturday night.
