Haus Obermoos is a luxurious chalet designed with large modern rooms where guests can enjoy the magnificent panoramic views of the mountains and the surrounding lush, green forests.The chalet is adjacent to the skilift & offers the advantage of being able to ski back to the house.
The chalet offers comfortable, spacious self-catering apartments which can sleep 2 to 6 persons in each plus elegant double rooms on a bed and breakfast basis. Haus Obermoos has been decorated to the highest standard with solid wood flooring, marble tiling and under-floor heating throughout the house. The chalet also boasts its very own Haus Bar with full sports coverage for sports enthusiasts who wish to tune into all major sporting events on a daily basis. Pure luxury awaits our guests in the evening time with free access to our wellness facilities which include Finnish Sauna, Turkish Steam Bath, Infra-Red Cabin & Massage. The house also has a heated ski room, a children's playroom & free wifi in every room. Haus Obermoos guests can benefit from a 10% discount on all ski hire.
Filzmoos attracts winter sport enthusiasts for many reasons. The village boasts attractive pistes which lead right down to the centre of the village, short distances to the lifts with no queues, lots of space on the piste and snow guaranteed due to its proximity to the Dachstein Glacier.
In summertime Filzmoos is an ideal place for walking, mountain biking, climbing, swimming, horse riding, fly fishing, golfing, paragliding and rafting. The village is also the perfect starting point to fantastic breathtaking excursions.

A drive of only 45 minutes from Filzmoos, the beautiful and cultural city of Salzburg is the birthplace and former home to Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The village is also the perfect starting point to fantastic breath taking excursions such as Mauterndorf Castle, Liechtenstein Gorge, Krimml waterfalls, Werfen Castle and the Dachstein Glacier.
Filzmoos / Pongau area
The beautiful village of Filzmoos, with an altitude of 3461 ft, is set within the Bischofsmütze mountain and the Dachstein Glacier. Filzmoos is part of Austria’s largest ski paradise the “Ski Amadé” with 5 regions, 25 locations, 860 kms of pistes and 270 lifts. A single ski-pass is valid for the ski regions of Salzburger Sportwelt, Schladming-Dachstein-Tauern, Gasteinertal, Hochkönigs Winterreich and Grossarl Valley.
Filzmoos offers an array of winter activities for both skiers and non-skiers. Naturally skiing and snowboarding are the main focus during the snowy months but there is also a great opportunity to experience some of the other fantastic leisure activities available such as sleigh rides, tobogganing, curling, alpine walks and ballooning. Filzmoos is also the perfect starting point to many cultural excursions.

How to get there
By Plane: Filzmoos is only 45 MINUTES FROM SALZBURG AIRPORT by car. The following is a list of the low fare airlines flying direct from the UK and Ireland to Salzburg: RyanAir, Thomson, Flybe.com, British Airways, Aer Lingus, Jet2.com & Sky Europe.
We can arrange airport transfers from Salzburg airport. Prices available on request.
Other airports include: Graz - transfer by car approx 2 hrs 15 mins Linz - transfer by car approx 2 hrs 15 mins Munich - transfer by car approx 2 hrs 30 mins
Car Hire: Most low-fare airlines offer competitive rates for car hire. Go to the individual airline company websites for rates.
Directions by car: From Salzburg drive down the A10 southbound in the direction of Villach. Continue down the A10 for approx 35 minutes and exit to the right at Eben, just after the Landzeit service station. At the bottom of the road turn left and at the next junction, approx 50 metres, take the slip road to the left signposted for Filzmoos 11km. Continue on this road until you reach the edge of Filzmoos village. Haus Obermoos is on the left hand side before the Mooslehen Chair lift.
By train: Trains run directly from Salzburg to Radstadt and from there you can take a taxi to Filzmoos which is only 18km from Radstadt. The train also runs to Eben which is approx 11kms from Filzmoos (you must change at Bischofshofen for Eben ) and from there you can either take the bus (number 521) or taxi to Filzmoos. By bus: The bus runs from Salzburg to Filzmoos via Eben. The bus number from Salzburg to Eben is 270 and the bus number from Eben to Filzmoos is 521. Go to http://www.oebb.at/ for bus timetables in English.
By ferry: The ferry from Ireland is from Rosslare to Cherbourg and from the UK from Dover to Calais or Hull to Zeebrugge. The journey through France, Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany is straight forward and without tolls. Journey time by car is approx 10-12 hours. Before entering Austria you must purchase a sticker called a "Vignette", a form of road tax for the motorways. This sticker can be purchased at service stations on the border for approx. €8 for 10 days. Detailed maps of your journey are available through http://www.multimap.com or http://www.theaa.com.

The kitchen/dining room in each apartment has all modern applicances and generous living space where guests can relax & dine in the comfortable surroundings. The apartments also have ample lounge space where guests can watch TV/DVDs, read, play cards/board games etc. Each apartment has a separate double bedroom & a sofabed in the living area.
