About the home

Situated just 1km from Parque Floresta Golf and leisure resort, Cactus House is perfectly located in the heart of this lovely Portuguese village. Cobbled streets, 2 shops and a few lovely restaurants Figueira is a short drive or walk to some of the most stunning and private beaches in the Algarve. One of these beaches is only accessible by foot through lovely olive groves.

Cactus House is a traditional village house offering a very contemporary feel. Situated in a cobbled street it is colourful and bright. It is an ideal holiday property (1 king size bed or 2 twins) and the facility to offer sofa bed accommodation for 1 extra person. Whilst it is well furnished Cactus House still retains some of the character of the traditional building.

From the street you walk into the living/dining area with windows to front and side. The open-plan kitchen is very well equipped with dishwasher and oven and hob. Upstairs the beautiful beamed ceiling in the large bedroom with wooden fan offers really spacious accommodation. French doors lead out onto a private roofed terrace, which benefits sun and shade during various parts of the day. For winter months there is a stone pebble fire.

There is street parking outside the house. You are within easy walking distance of at least 3 restaurants within the village and yet still only 5 minute drive from the fishing village of Salema with numerous more restaurants.

The property is noted as not suitable for children only due to a fixed bench near to the wall on the roof terrace.

We have an English & German speaking representative who lives close by, who is on hand to make sure your holiday goes smoothly. In the house itself we provide details of many of the local amenities, activities, recommended restaurants and attractions along with emergency contacts.

All bedding and towels are provided. The property is cleaned before and after your visit by our manager, but we do ask that you leave it in a good manner when you depart.

Cactus is strictly no smoking and we do not allow pets.

Conditions

A £250.00 refundable security deposit is required to reserve Cactus House. Full payment of rental monies is required12 weeks before the start of your holiday.

Although we do accept short term breaks a surcharge may be applied for all bookings that are less than a week.

Figueira Beach

The Algarve / West Algarve region

Western Algarve tends to be very hot and dry in the summer months June-September and cooler and wetter from October -March. Thus allowing for a very green and lush region during the spring and early summer months. There are several beaches close by some only accessible by foot making them very private and unspoilt.
Figueira is an unspoilt traditional Portuguese village, quite and yet only a very short drive from busier towns, local markets super restaurants and fabulous countryside. Surfing beaches are plentiful on the south and west coast, windsurfing and kayaking close by at Martinque beach.

The Figueira area

Salema which is 5 minutes drive away is a traditional fishing village home to a few shops, plenty of bars and restaurants. Burgau again, is another beautiful fishing village. Park Florester is just 1km away with Spa, Swimming pool, Golf, Tennis, Bowles and Gym. The historic town of Lagos is only a 20 minute drive and the international supermarket 2 km away from Figueira in Budens.
