About the home

The house is well situated within an easy stroll of the village, shops and restaurants. It is also close to Parque da Floresta Golf club at which guests have preferential rates for Golf, Tennis, Gym and beautiful family pools at the Country Club. It has the advantage of being close to ammenities while enjoying the peace and tranquility of an unspoilt Portugeuse Village.

The house is a two bedroom property on an exclusive development on the edge of the village. The lounge / dining room is large airey and comfortably furnished with new but traditionally styled furniture to a very high standard. The lounge has patio doors to the front leading onto landscaped gardens, in which are the two heated swimming pools in their own enclosure for sunbathing and swimming. At the rear of the house there is a patio/sun terrace with table, chairs and loungers. Ideal for a BBQ. The master bedroom has a newly re-furbished shower and toilet room and the second bedroom is adjacent to the main bathroom. Both bedrooms have balconies overlooking the gardens or countryside. The upper floor is reached by an elegant marble staircase.

We have furnished and decorated this house as our home, not just a holiday let, and we hope that you will enjoy it as such.

Facilities

The front of the property opens onto a well kept garden and the path to the pools and road access.
The rear has a private patio/ sun-terrace with suitable furniture, ideal for BBQs.
In the centre of the quadrangle is the shared pool area which has a large kidney shaped pool and a small children's pool. Both are heated and surrounded in turn by loungers and umberellas with showers and toilets under a covered terrace.
The gardens are a specially attractive feature of the developement which has about 25 houses.

Further details

We like to take a 10% deposit to book your selected rental period, with the balance being paid six weeks before you travel. We also have to ask for a returnable deposit of £200 in case of loss or damage at the property. We suggest that this be a separate cheque which is kept, uncashed, by us, and returned to you after your holiday.

Conditions

When you confirm your booking, we need names and ages of all guests plus address and contact details. This is to help in case of accidents etc, as Parque da Floresta Golf and Country Club, manage our house for us and deal with any problems that you may have during your stay.

A beautiful, quiet beach. 10 Min drive.

The Algarve / West Algarve region

The Algarve offers a delightful climate throughout the year. The temp rarely rises above 30c or below about 12c.
Rainfall is very light compared to the UK and there are often months with none at all.
The Atlantic breezes ensure that one is never too hot to sleep without air-conditioning and rarely need more than a light pullover even in winter.

There is a vast National Park and many wonderful beaches that range from miles of open surf on the Atlantic Coast to sheltered sandy coves where you will see no one else all day. Beach facilities vary accordingly.
Lagos, Sagres and Portimao are some of the towns within easy driving distance and with the new Autoroute junction just 8 miles away, Spain is also within easy reach, and Seville is a very popular destination for our guests, as are the historic towns of Silves, Sagres and Lagos. The last being my favourite with it's Marina, Museum and many very fine restaurents.

The Figueira area

Figueira is a small, unspoilt, farming village and our settlement of 27 houses has been sympathetically built on the edge of the village around beutifully kept gardens and two heated pools. One of the attractions of village life is the fresh bread, milk and vegetables from the local shops just two hundred yards walk away.

The Village is within the National Park Area which offers thousands of acres of unspoilt forest to explore and some of the finest beaches for either sheltered swimming or surfing on the Atlantic coast. You will never be lost for something to do and yet you can find complete solitude on many nearby beaches if you wish.

The nearby Parque da Floresta Golf & Country Club maintains the site and there is a 24 hour hotel reception just half a mile from the house. Through the reception(by the Tennis Courts) you can sort out any problems and gain access to all the facilities of PDF, some at special rates for our guests. these include Tennis, Archery, Bowls, Gym, Health Sap, Children's Playground, 18 Hole Golf Course, and several very different cafes, bistros and the Parque Restaurant. Ideal for adult visitors and families alike. Something for everyone.

Reception also have details of all the local attractions, boat trips, horse-riding, fishing, taxis etc. etc and will be pleased to help you book any of them. There is also a really good choice of restaurants at the Parque if you don't feel like the Village atmosphere or the short drive to other villages, beaches or towns close by.

Fly to Faro or Lisbon.
Budget airlines from most UK airports will get you to Faro.
If you prefer a few nights in Lisbon, it is a very easy drive on brand new Autoroute to within 8 miles of our house. A journey time of about 3.5 hrs.
If you wish to avoid airports then you can get a ferry to Santander and drive south. This would take about 6 to 8 hours direct. But, there are some lovely places to stop over, if you want to make the time.
We usually use Holidayautos who are based both at Faro and Lisbon.
