About the home

Large, 3 bedroom (2 doubles, 1 single) second floor apartment in a 3 storey building located in a quiet, sunny, residential area 10 minutes walk from Figueira's huge sandy beach, town centre and approx 15 minutes walk to the famous casino.

The outlook from the apartment balcony is over a lovely garden area with mature trees and shrubs beyond which is the town's GNR (Police) Training School.

There is ample parking to the front and side of the apartments.

The Costa de Prata/Silver Coast/Central Portugal region

The Silver Coast is the Atlantic coastline with many empty sandy beaches, coves and the fantastic, rolling waves of the clean Atlantic Sea.

There are almost countless beaches and places to visit all along this huge coastline.

The Figueira da Foz area

Figueira Da Foz sits on the estuary (or Foz) of the River Mondego. It is the largest seaside resort on the Silver Coast and is typically Portuguese. It is frequented many by Portuguese and Spanish holidaymakers (Figueira is the nearest resort to Madrid). Many of whom come for the lovely clean beaches, great climate and fresh Atlantic air. It is said Figueira is one of the healthiest places to live in Europe.

Apart from the huge town beach (one of the widest beaches in Europe), just a short drive away are the lovely beaches of Buarcos and Quiaios to the north and Cabedelo (surfers beach) and Costa de Lavos to the south.
Buarcos beach is more rocky and great for rock pooling at low tide.

Quiaios is a large sandy beach backed by sand dunes. Cabedelo is the famous surfers beach with fine white sand, surf school and bar.

Costa de Lavos is an old fishing village which is now mainly small holiday homes right up to the large sandy beach where you can still buy sardines direct from fishing boats on the beach.

Evening entertainment centres around the famous casino with it's nightly floor show, and the many restaurants and bars in the town. Take dinner in a good quality, reasonably priced restaurant, followed by a visit to the casino and then a stroll along the seafront to take coffee. All just a short walk from your apartment.
