Isaro is a very pleasant Provencal villa providing comfortable accommodation for up to 10, all on one level (one bedroom on a mezzanine level).

The property benefits from reversible air conditioning and wifi internet and is set within large grounds with a good size private swimming pool and swings.

It is located in the heart of a forest, 4 km from shops, 10 km east of Draguignan, 35 km from Frejus and the Mediterranean coast.

The Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur / Var region

The Var department is situated west of its famous neighbour Côte d’Azur. With its beautiful landscape with both mountains and sea and its sunny Mediterranean weather it is a popular holiday destination all year round.

Along its 300-km long coast, you will find some stylish seaside resorts like glitzy St Tropez and Ste Maxime, as well as some smaller but equally beautiful and charming resorts like Bandol or Le Lavandou.

The beautiful Iles d'Or (Porquerolles, Ile du Levant and Pors Cros) are also well worth a visit and can be reached by boat from La Tour Fondue near Hyères. Inland, you will find delightful and unspoilt hilltop villages and further to the north, the breathtaking Gorges du Verdon with its many water sports and activities.

The Figanieres area

Figanières is a small medieval village located in the forested hills of central Var and surrounded by vineyards, within easy reach of Draguignan. Gateway to Haut Var, and further afield to Gorges du Verdon to the north and the Med coast to the south. Also close to the magnificent Gorges de Chateaudouble, formed by the Nartuby river.

PLACES TO VISIT:
Draguignan. 10 km. Pleasant town once a military centre but now with tourist and cultural attractions. Lovely avenues lined with plane trees surround the old city. Excellent shopping and markets. Several museums.
Seillans. 25 km. Delightful hill top village and one of the most beautiful villages in France. Its medieval centre with a maze of narrow cobbled streets, shaded squares and ancient fountains overlooks a wonderful countryside. The village also boasts a castle and lovely church. Home to many artists.
Fayence. 30 km. Much visited hill top fortified village, between sea and mountains and surrounded by picturesque Provencal countryside. Also renowned for its gliding centre, often considered the best in Europe.
Callian. 30 km. Small but charming medieval village with its own castle and winding streets. Starting place for many hikes and walks.

Golf de St Endréol, La Motte. 15 km. Golf course. 18 holes Par 72 - 6219m. In a stunning, sun-drenched natural setting, a spectacular and internationally renowned course offering splendid views over the river Endre.
Le Jardin de César et Léonie, Le Muy. 15 km. Horse riding, Tree top adventure park. For great thrills in all security, up to 12m in height. Different trail for all abilities and a lovely way to discover the forest. Also pony and horse rides available. At Les Folies de Léonie, there is free access to a giant playground under parents’ supervision.
Provence Aventure, Vidauban. 25 km. Tree top adventure park. A beautiful setting, in the heart of an oak forest, on the banks of the Argens River. Different trails for the whole family (from the age of 3) according to ages and abilities including for the fearless ones a 200m-long zip line crossing the Argens river. A refreshing experience!
Aqualand, Fréjus. 35 km. Waterpark. Fantastic waterpark with a great number of water rides for the whole family, including the largest wave pool in Europe and the huge Twin-Twister water slide. Not for the faint hearted!

FURTHER AFIELD:
Tourtour. 30 km. Also called the village in the sky. Medieval hilltop village with plenty of narrow streets lined with very picturesque Provencal houses.
Fréjus. 35 km. Seaside resort, ancient military port and Roman city, with a rich and impressive historical and architectural heritage. Some stunning scattered Roman remains can still be seen including one of the largest amphitheatres from Gallic times and a Roman theatre still in use for summer events.
St Raphaël. 35 km. Family seaside resort and major sailing centre backed by the rugged Massif de l'Estérel. The resort also boasts 5 golf courses and a casino and is ideal for deep-sea diving and coastal walks. Boat trips to the Îles d'Hyères.
Gorges du Verdon. 50 km. Europe’s largest river canyon and one of France’s greatest natural wonder with twisting narrow roads, dramatic scenery, awesome views but also lofty little villages and chapels clinging to the rocks. THE place for climbing, rafting, canyoning, kayaking...
