The Lodge is newly built and tastefully furnished throughout and benefits from underfloor central heating. The high pine ceiling and open plan design ensure plenty of light and space. The main bedroom has a kingsize bed for a romantic break and the twin beds in the other bedroom make it ideal for families. There is also the option of an additional guest bed .

The Central Scotland/Edinburgh region

Copper Beech is situated in the Howe of Fife, between the market town of Cupar and the ancient Royal Burgh of Newburgh. There is a farmer's market in Cupar once a month, and fruit festivals in both towns in the summer.

Over 75% of the region has an annual rainfall less than 35 inches. Large areas in the East have less than 30 inches and eastern coastlands have between 25 and 27 inches only. Throughout Fife there are 4 months with mean temperatures above 50 F (10 C). As with the rest of Scotland, you take "pot luck" with the weather but there is always plenty to do.

Fife area

St Andrews, the "Home of Golf" is only 15 miles away and golf is only one of its many attractions. There are long sandy beaches, The Byre Theatre, Botanic Gardens, castle, cathedral and museums.

The Fair City of Perth is only 17 miles West where you can walk or drive through the wooded slopes of Kinnoull Hill, or enjoy the family businesses, specialist retailers and familiar chain stores on the traffic-free High Street. A nearby arrtraction not to be missed is Scone Palace.

There is plenty to do in Fife itself, with both Cairnie Mega Maze and The Scottish Deer Centre being only minutes drive away.

13 miles North lies Dundee, the City of Discovery, with numerous attractions for all.
Edinburgh is 45 miles away and easily drivable, or there are several trains a day from Cupar.
The annual "T in The Park" festival is held in Balado, near Kinross in Fife.
