About the home

Sunset C9 is a fully furnished property ideal for self catering family holidays. The beachfront location (20metres from the sea) is simply stunning and provides fantastic sea views from this new apartment from its balcony of the living room and top floor sun terrace of the master bedroom. As well as the onsite swimming pool tourist facilities on your doorstep include Calis beach, bars, restaurants, shops, all water sports, horse riding and wide selection of daily excursions.

The historic harbour town of Fethiye is just 4km away and can be reached by road, on foot or bike via the seafront pedestrian promenade at the front of the complex or by water taxi. The famous blue lagoon at Oludeniz is just 12km and can be easily reached by public transport, taxi or by hiring a car. Other beaches in the area include Patara, Gemiller and Gidirak. Turkey is also rich in history and culture. In and around Fethiye you will find memorial mausoleums dating back to the Lycians and Roman era, ruins dating back to Saint John’s chevaliers, the ghost town of KayaKoy is just 7km while other archeological sites in the region inc Letoon, Tlos and St. Nicolas island.

Sunset C9 comprises of 2 bedrooms in total; 1 double, 1 twin and a fully equipped open plan kitchen / living room and 2 balconies/sun terraces.

The master bedroom on the top floor 1 has en-suite facilities, a separate dressing area and a private sun terrace. The twin is located on the entrance floor and has 2 twin beds and plenty of storage space. The property also has 1 single and 1 double sofa bed located in the lounge area suitable for 2 kids This gives room for up to 6 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The apartment has air-conditioning throughout, TV, DVD, satellite TV and a stereo. There is room for 6 in the living room and 6 in the dining room. For self catering there is gas and electric hob, a microwave, a fridge/freezer, kettle, a toaster. You will also find a dish washer, a washing machine, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided plenty of cutlery, crockery, glassware and cooking utensils.

Sunset Apartment comprise of 42 apartments with a large shared pool, kids pool, sun bathing area set in Mediterranean gardens. The swimming pool is open from May until mid October. If you are driving there is private parking with the outside areas of the house having external lighting. Smokers are free to use either of the balconies if they so wish.

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region

The Turquoise Coast is blessed with a stunning scenery of pine clad mountains,a beautiful coastline and lovely beaches.The climate is fantastic, with balmy springs and autumns of around 24 C, summers of around 30-35oc, with winter temperatures rarely falling below 15oc. There is practically wall to wall sunshine from April through to November. Calis has a pleasant breeze off the sea through summer . There are numerous sites, ancient, cultural and natural to visit in the region.

The Fethiye / Calis Beach area

The Olu Deniz (Oludeniz) and Fethiye region of Mugla, Turkey is a wonderfully natural, coastal area which boasts almost tropical beaches and year round sunshine, making Olu Deniz and Fethiye, Turkey, one of the most popular places to visit in the country. Fethiye marks the meeting of the Tourus Mountains and the Mediterranean, with stunning scenery and a friendly welcome.

CALIS RESORT
This beachfront apartment is an easy flat walk of 10 minutes along the seafront promenade to the resort centre. The beach in Calis is shingle and stretches for many miles. There is a cooling breeze which is very welcome in the height of summer.

The promenade is lined with restaurants and bars from where you can sit and enjoy the beautiful sunsets.
In Calis there is a waterpark,plenty of shops,some watesports and a Sunday market. There are plenty of agencies organising tourist trips within the resort.

FETHIYE
Only 15 minutes on the bus to the attractive bustling harbour town of Fethiye set against the back drop of the Taurus mountains. From here you can get buses to explore the rest of the region. In Fethiye there is an old town to explore, wander along the lovely harbour, visit the bazaar open daily or barter down the prices at the huge Tuesday Market.

In Fethiye there are numerous agencies specialising in tourist trips.
The bus to Fethiye stops 2 minutes walk from the apartment. It can also be reached by a pleasant trip on the water taxi from Calis centre.

OLU DENIZ
Otherwise known as The Blue Lagoon. Here there is a beautiful beach and an attractive resort with beach side bars and restaurants. There are many watersports on the beach here. Children will love the shallow water of the lagoon and chasing shoals of fish. Olu Deniz is only 30 minutes on the bus from Fethiye.

Dalaman international airport which is open all year round is 45km (50min transfer) from Calis and is served with flights from across the UK and Europe. "Just spent 3 weeks here and had a wonderful time. The apartment is very well equipped with everything you need for your stay. When we arrived the place was very clean and you have lots of towels available. The girls who look after the apartment, Tracy and Desiree, are very friendly and helpful. You are very well positioned with plenty of places to eat and drink on your doorstep, and there is the added bonus that at this end of the beach the bars still provide free sunbeds and umbrellas. You are also right beside the dolmus/bus stop for Fethiye and only 10 minutes stroll to the centre of Calis giving you the best of all worlds. Cant wait to go back next year or sooner if we can manage. "

"The apartment was neutrally decorated and very peaceful to the eye. It was very well equipped and comfortable. There is a lovely view of the sea from the living room.The swimming pool was quite big and there was also a children's pool which suited us well . The flat was also well placed for bars and restuarants. On the down side it was a bit of a walk to the centre (about 15mins) as we have little children, but would be ok otherwise. It is also on the second floor with no lift which would not usually be a problem but made carrying the pushchair up and down a little difficult. I would say however the decor and location of the flat near to sea and bars outweighed any negatives."
