About the home

Situated in the authentic Turkish village of Gunlukbasi, you can experience the real Turkey. Calis beach is only a 5 min bus ride away with its amazing sunsets,cooling breezes and you may see a dolphin or turtles. The bustling market town of Fethiye has its traditional bazaar and famous Tuesday market,marina and charming restaurants are easily reached by local bus.The beautiful Olu Deniz resort or famous blue lagoon is close by ,swim in its turquoise waters or lie on its golden sand.
The rooms in the house are spacious and well furnished giving it a homely feel.There is plenty of storage space for all your clothes.
The linen is always fresh and clean,towels are also provided.The kitchen is well equipped and has everything you would need for a self-catering holiday.
In the private garden you can sun bathe or have a bbq.Private parking for your car.Not on a complex .
If you dont feel like cooking there are near by lokantas which serve inexpensive traditional Turkish food.The local market 5 minutes away and is on every Sunday where you can buy fresh food,fruit and vegetables.
The living room has dining table for 8 and a balcony leads from it so you can view village life below.
All rooms for air-conditioning,electric shower so there is always hot water.Smoke alarm in hall.
Please note that Gunluk house can also be rented with 1 bedroomed Gunluk cottage near by.

Owner is close by so you will be met on your arrival and departure ,she is avaliable for any information you may require to have a good holiday.
Use of large shared pool across the road ,at the hotel,no charge if you buy a drink.
A regular bus service 5 mins away from house will take you to Fethiye or Calis beach every 5 mins from 7am to midnight.
There are plenty of things to do here,paragliding,windsurfing,horseriding,walking,daily boat trips,aqua park,walking,fishing to name but a few.
Turkey has lots of historical sites to visit,Xanthos,Letoon and the famous Efesus.

The house is equipped with everything you need and furnished to a high standard.There is a local shop 1 minute away with supermarkets and authentic Turkish restaurants 5mins walk away.Other local shops and restaurants can be located at Calis a 5 min bus ride away.

The house has 2 balconies with mountain views , all rooms lead off the hallway.There are 3 large bedrooms with plenty of storage space and comfortable beds, one has a king size bed,the other a double and the other 2 single beds.They always have fresh clean linen.
There is a large shower room and toilet and a utility room with washing machine.
The kitchen is large and fully equipped for self catering. The living room has a sofa bed and dining for 6 and the balcony leads off the living room with stunning mountain views
All rooms have air-conditioning.The house is ,very clean and tastefully furnished.
Shared pool you can use, at the hotel across the road if you fancy a swim or sunbathing
.An electric shower is provided when there is no sun to heat the water.
Ideal base for site seeing,walking and exploring Turkey with what it has to offer.

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region

The Turquoise coast is one of the most beautiful areas in which to relax and unwind.from the backdrop of the Taurus mountains to the coast with its beautiful beaches and crystal turquoise water,stunning scenery and numerous places of historical interest and culture.
All round sunshine with mild warm winters makes it an ideal climate.
The area has something for everyone white water rafting ,paragliding, horse riding, Dalyan mud baths and the historical site of Epheus.
The choice is endless it will have you visit time after time.
Trips to Rhodes and the Greek island of Meis,allow you to see Greece and a different culture.
There are many places for walking there is the famous Lycian way close by.

The Fethiye / Calis area

Calis beach is located a short distance from the house.It has beautiful sunsets and always has cooling breezes.The bustling town of Fethiye can be easily reached with the local bus service.
The world renown resort of Olu Deniz or the Blue Logoon with its sheltered beach is only a short distance away with its many shops bars and restaurants.
Kaya koy the deserted haunted Greek village needs to be explored,only 20 mins away.
There are the ancient ruins of Cadianda,unspoilt villages of Uzumlu or the Saklikent gorge or mud baths at Dalyan.
Aqua park is only 10 min away suitable for all ages of children and adults alike.
There are lots of daily boat trips(private hire available) sea fishing also available
If you want to do it it will be close by for you to do.

“Excellent value for money” Light, spacious and very comfortable accommodation with everything we could possibly need, especially air conditioning even in October. Furnishings and fittings of high quality. English speaking owner lives on site and was attentive and helpful with information regarding the village, surrounding area and tourist attractions. Bars and restaurants close by offering traditional Turkish food. No pool but there are hotels close by who are happy for you to use their facilities and it is only a short bus ride to Calais Beach.

The first thing i noticed was the hugh bedrooms, plenty of space.Everything was comfortable and we had a great time entertaining as the kitchen was so well equipped.it made a great base for exploring for our holiday.Fabio.Bolonia Italy.Aug 2010
This is our second visit to Gunluk house this year we love it !plenty of room comfortable and a home from home.
