Home description

Perfect for long or short term letting, Lara apartment is arranged on 2 floors and has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, with an additional sofa bed in the front room. It sleeps 7/8. The apartment is located in a block of 6 in a quiet, typically Turkish residential street. There is a small swimming pool and sun loungers available. The apartment has a front room, kitchen & outside dining on a large terrace, an attic style bedroom upstairs (with terrace) and 2 large bedrooms on the first floor. There is a utility room with a washing machine, iron, & board & clothes dryer. All bedding and luxury towels are provided.

The apartment is close to Fethiye town centre and a 15 min walk from the historic harbour area which boasts numerous authentic Turkish restaurants & bars. A 20 minute dolmus ride away is the world famous beach of Olu Deniz. There is a large supermarket with a cafe 5 minutes walk from the apartment. Transfers to & from Dalaman airport & car hire can be arranged at reasonable rates by the owners

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region

Also known as the Turkish Riviera this beautiful stretch of coastline has it all to offer, from its favourable climate and warm sea to its gorgeous scenery and white sandy beaches. This gorgeous place with the combination of sights sea miles of stunning coast make it one of Turkeys most popular holiday destinations.

Fethiye / Tasyaka area

Fethiye is a historic fishing port which boasts lycian tombs built in to the hillsides and a Roman amphitheatre in its beautiful harbour area. There is a magical traditional Turkish bazzar centre in the old town of Fethiye, as well as numerous restaurants, bars and cafes. The world famous Olu Deniz beach is a 20 minute bus ride away.

There are sun loungers, restaurants, bars and cafes, boat trips, paragliding, parasailing, banana boats and pedalos in the beautiful blue lagoon, which is a National Park. There is the famous tourist resort of Hisaronu a 10 minute bus ride away, and many historic sights to visit in the local area.

There is also an Aqualand in Fethiye, in the Calis tourist resort. Jewellery and leather goods can be bought cheaply in the weekly Tuesday market, a huge open air bazzar where haggling for the best price is encouraged!

There is paragliding available every day from Babadag mountain with a soft landing on Olu Deniz beach! There is also parasailling available as well as pedalos in the blue lagoon at the National Park in Olu Deniz. There are many restaurants in Fethiye which are reasonably priced, as well as bars and nightclubs. There is also a authentic bazaar area in the old town of Fethiye as well as a huge market every Tuesday where a wide variety of jewellery and leather are for sale, as well as traditional Turkish foods and spices. There is a Migros supermarket (similar to Asda) a 5 minute walk away from the apartment where everything for a self-catering holiday can be bought. There is also a fantastic well priced cafe there which is ideal for the first breakfast after arrival! Kids will love the mini golf and trampoline areas over the road from this supermarket. If you wait outside the supermarket a minibus will come along (marked 'Calis') and will take you to Sultan's Aqua Land.

How to get there

First Choice, Easyjet, XL Airways and Onur Air fly from most UK airports. LGW is the cheapest to fly from.
I can organise car hire through Lycia Property Management Agency and also organise well priced transfers to and from the airport, which is Dalaman.

The apartment is fully air conditioned which can blow hot air as well as cold. The apartment is light, spacious and airy with all the comforts of home. There is a double bed in the main bedroom, the other 2 bedrooms have twin beds.

The sofa bed in the front room can sleep either one adult or 2 children. Smokers are permitted only in the balcony areas and not inside the apartment as this is not permitted due to health and safety. There is a coal barbecue available for use.

The kitchen is fully fitted and there are indoor and outdoor dining areas. Almost all windows are patio doors so the property can be aired as often as necessary, creating a low allergen environment.

There is a TV and satellite TV with English channels. All the furniture is new and the apartment was built in 2005.

There is a small pool with space for sun loungers, a well stocked garden around the apartments and a gate which can be secured. The apartment has 2 large sun terraces, one of which leads out from the kitchen, the other is a roof terrace which is completely private.

Pets will be considered on an individual basis.

Conditions

A deposit of half of the rental rate is required at the time of booking with the full balance being payable 8 weeks before you travel. An additional cheque must be sent to the owner for £100 which is required in case of breakages/damages. This will be returned if all is in order.

Rental rates are £300 per week in May, June, July & August, £250 in September, October, March & April. Other times of the year by negotiation. Long term lets or multiple weeks by negotiation.

A deposit of 25% is required 8 weeks before your holiday, with the full amount being payable a minimum of 1 week before departure. A cheque for £200 is also required, which will be returned to you providing all is well in the property.
