About the home

Welcome to “SHAMBHALA” our place between heaven and earth. We hope you enjoy your stay.
Our apartment is in the central block, number “C3”, this is on the first and second floors. The entrance is via the front door which is the opposite side away from the pool area. The lounge faces east over the main and kiddies pool to the coast for those beautiful sunsets or from the Sun Terrace with a cool drink..

It consists of two separate air-conditioned bedrooms, including the master on the top floor, one twin bedded room has a fan available The two lower bedrooms are twin bedded; the master is en suite with a king size bed.

The lower floor also has the lounge, kitchen diner plus second bathroom. Within the lounge there is a pull out king size sofa bed, Satellite TV/DVD player and breakfast bar for six. The lounge is also air-conditioned; with an additional fan. The lounge and one bedroom, have doors which lead to a balcony overlooking the full length of the pools.

There is a full table setting, oven/grill, gas hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, iron, ironing board, washing machine, fridge/freezer & hair dryer. Bath and hand towels are provided, as is bed and kitchen linen. Please provide your own beach towels. There is a weekly maid service;extra service is available at your cost.

The following facilities are available to our guests: - Sports area, Large Swimming Pool (a level 1.5 metres deep & 18m long), Kiddies Pool (a level 0.5 metres), jacuzzi bed, poolside loungers, tables and chairs with parasols are provided. There is a Snack Bar/Restaurant, plus a Bar with Table Tennis/Pool tables; there are "feature nights" by local arrangement. Sky TV is available in the bar, as is wi-fi.

These are for your enjoyment at no additional cost; we do ask that you help to keep and maintain the high standard for others.

Our Complex Manager, Mr Tuna Bingol, can at your request, organise airport transfers, excursions and a wealth of other services. True to his Turkish heritage, he claims everything is possible; all you have to do is ask. He will also deal with any questions/problems you may experience during your stay; no matter how small. Supported by his technician, Ali, and security man, Mustafa, Tuna will always ensure your stay is carefree and memorable.

The pools are usually open from April to November; the main pool is the biggest in the area at 18m long, the kiddies pool is somewhat smaller.

Conditions

A deposit of £50.00 per week is required on booking and the balance payable 8 weeks prior to departure, or immediatley if booking is made within 8 weeks of departure. A refundable security deposit of £100.00 is required against breakages and damage which should be refunded within 10 days of return of the apartment keys to us providing the agent has found everything to be in order after checking the apartment inventory.

You are strongly advised that you ensure you have sufficient insurances.

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region

Calis (pronounced Chalish) is a reasonably small beach resort with views and spectacular sunsets across Fethiye Bay to Sovalye Island.
Restaurants and terrace bars line the beach road, which is closed to traffic during the summer; there are local shops just a few minutes walk away.

Calis also boasts three very natural attractions - a cooling breeze, perfect for when the local temperatures soar in the summer months and excellent sunsets. The other natural attraction are the people themselves, they are a great asset.
Resorts Location: On the SW Mediterranean coast of Turkey, in the region of Fethiye. Fethiye town is 5km; Oludeniz 17km and 55km south of Dalaman airport via the new tunnel or by winding and scenic road. The surrounding mountains are some 1500 to 3100 metres; it is these that add to the cooling breeze and the beauty. Calis sits on flat coastal land with a long fairly narrow arcing beach; it faces the town of Fethiye to the south across the bay. The beachfront has an attractive paved promenade lined with a varied range of friendly bars and restaurants, boasting a good selection of international cuisine to meet most tastes.

The Feithiye region has an incedible range of sights and activites, such as: - historic sites, paragliding, walking, jeep safaris, island cruises, multiple markets, nearby skiing, golf and every water activity you can think of.

Main International airport is Dalaman; the 45 minute transfer can be arranged. Car hire can also be arranged for airport pickup. We can advise on flights if needed. Subject to your need, a car is very useful to get to the many places of interest.

Directions: Keep to the main road leaving Dalaman airport, follow the Antalya/Fethiye signs (route D400), at the “T” junction with the main highway turn right for about 53km; this will take you through the tunnel (small toll) or if you wish, you can go up and down over pine covered hills. During the day it is worth taking your time and enjoy the many view points; average time around 45/60 minutes.

When you start getting nearer and pass the Fethiye boundary sign, you will see the right turn sign for Centrum, Oludiniz and Karayollari, take this downhill turn; DO NOT TURN PRIOR. At this point you will see a large masonry yard on your left, with a cement factory over to your right. After crossing over a narrow bridge and a further 500m, take the right turn signed for Calis Beach/Plage, plus a Hospital sign, this is a straight road leading to the sea front. But before getting there you will find Violet Apartments on your left after about 500m, you may park in the adjacent roads.

“Simply great place!!!” We were at the apartment for a week and had a wonderfull time! We were 6 people in the apartment and felt absolutely comfortable and felt like home. It is spaceous, clean, good airconditioning and has the fantastic view! Not to mention the pool with jacuzzi that is awsome! We were with our cars and there is plenty of parking space. There is a market 100m across the street, and the center of Fethiye is 5 min.drive, Oludeniz 20min etc. The nearest beach/Calis was 2min drive from the apartment. It is absolutely great place for a base for exploring the Turqoise coast/Lycia! The owners were very kind, also the people who take care of the complex were very friendly and helpful. Great value for money also! I absolutely reccomend to anyone! I absolutely reccomend

“Beautiful, Relaxing, Friendly people & a wonderful apartment & Pool” My friend & I had a wonderful time in the Violet Apartment this May. The weather was at times breezy & for a few days a little wet for a few hours but warmer than the UK & sunny. The fact that we were there for 2 weeks meant that we had plenty of time to relax, unwind, sunbathe & have a few trips out. There is so much to do & see that I can't wait to go back and explore more. The apartment we stayed in is beautiful - being on 2 floors with 3 balconies & 2 bathrooms was a definite plus - even though there were only 2 of us! We could choose which balcony - sun or shade to sit on & would recommend it.

Really enjoyed our hols in Violet Apartments - C3 - facilities were plentiful - lovely, spacious apartment and wonderful pool - so warm, welcome pack was more than welcome - in fact I meant to bring the jam home with me but forgot. All staff were lovely and helpful particularly Tuna and Ali - we tried a mud bath, Turkish bath, quad biking for the lads, 12 island trip. Tried a different restaurant every night, sat in Bedouin Tent, loved Fethiye - I could go on - Turkey really was a good experience would definitely come back, the people are lovely. The only small negative thing was the more than once - no water and no electricity scenario - none of this your fault. What can I say - a good time was had by all and thanks. Bye for now.
