The nearest large town is Fethiye, a mere bus ride away. For those who prefer a gentle stroll by twilight or to satisfy their lust for shopping, Fethiye is a charming attraction. Peer around the local markets or relax in the market-square, ice-cream in hand.

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region
Villa Aija is uniquely placed to take advantage of the stunning local topography. Your family can either lounge by the pool, basking in the unblemished sunshine or take the 15 minute stroll down to Calis' world-famous beach. The mountains gaze down at you wherever you walk, ensuring verdant counryside and refreshing breezes.
Fethiye / Calis area
In the opposite direction to Calis is Fethiye, with its cosmopolitan restaurants and fabulous shopping. Visit the 200 year-old Hammam (Turkish baths) for a gentle steam or massage. You must sample the fish market; dine alfresco on fresh fish and seafood for a few pounds! The many hairdressers and beauticians are also a fraction of the cost in the UK.
Alternatively, sample the luxuriant beaches and azure waters of Oludeniz, only a short bus-ride away. The journey through the pine forests is magical.
For the more energetic there is white water rafting, diving, horse riding, jeep safari and quad bikes. You can book all these - plus car hire - at Calis beach. Hiring a car will also bring you within easy reach of the historic sites that dot the area eg the jaw-dropping Saklikent gorge, the exquisitely-preserved Roman amphitheatre at Aspendos and many more cultural delights.
How to get there
Fly to Dalaman. Flights from all major UK airports. Budget companies include Thomas Cook, XL Air, Onur Air and Easyjet.
Good websites offering competitive rates include otb.com, flythomascook.com and flightline.com.
Taxi from Dalaman to villa takes 30 minutes. We will arrange transfers if required. The company who do the airport transfers also offer local car hire at competitive rates with well-serviced vehicles.

Further details indoors: There are 3 bedrooms which sleep 6 people with an additional 2 foldaway beds for younger visitors. The bedrooms are decorated beautifully and all have their own secure balconies ideal for that relaxed breakfast. On the first floor there is an en-suite bathroom to the master bedroom and a second, family bathroom.
Further details outdoors: Step out of the three French doors onto two marvellous terraces which house outside dining furniture along with a barbecue. Both the garden and the pool can be lit at night so there is no need for the adults to stop their enjoyment when (if) the kids are in bed!
The pool, situated amongst banana palms and other tropical fauna, is ideal for adults and children alike. It is 1.5 mts deep, with a ladder at one end and gently gradating steps at the other. There are also sunbeds, umbrellas and comfy chairs available for use in the garden, along with beach towels.

NB: Prices may be subject to change at the owner's discretion. We ask for a non-returnable 10% deposit of the total hire cost at the time of booking, the remainder to be paid no later than eight weeks prior to departure.
Deposit of £100 to be paid along with booking fee against damages on site, to be refunded upon return to UK. Cleaning is available for holidays in excess of one week at £40 per clean.
