About the home

Beautiful 2 bedroomed ground floor self catering apartment on spacious new complex.
Fully fitted kitchen equipped with all necessary appliances/utensils for a self catering holiday including washing machine, gas hob, electric oven, sandwich maker etc., tastefully furnished throughout. Fully air conditioned. 1 beautifully furnished double bedroom, 1 twin bedroom, 1 bathroom with shower over a full sized bath, 1 lounge complete with 2 three seater sofas which convert to double beds, television for DVDs, plus DVD player.
There is a large private balcony to the rear, with patio furniture, which provides a lovely mountain view, and an even larger balcony to the front, again, furnished, overlooking a large shared pool. Just 3 steps down from the patio and you share an extremely spacious pool area with a children's pool and beautiful well kept gardens.
Sun loungers, tables, cushions etc are all provided. Family pet dogs on site.

There is also a secure safe in the apartment for your personal use.
We also have 3 mountain bikes which we may be able to make available to you.

Further details outdoors:
This new complex consists of 12 apartment and large garden area. There is a large shared pool and a smaller children's pool. The complex also has a car park.

The beach is just 10 minutes walk away. There are shops, bars, restaurants and supermarkets within a couple of minutes stroll.

The bus to Fethiye stops right outside the gate. 2 minutes walk will take you to another bus route which serves Calis beach.

We have 3 bicycles which we may be able to make available for you to explore the surrounding country side - or just nip to the shops! For the more energetic, there are cycling routes around Fethiye, Hisaronu, Kaya Village etc,.

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region

South West Mediterranean Turkey, in the region of Fethiye. Fethiye 2 miles. Olu Deniz 9 miles. Dalaman Airport 38 miles.

On flat coastal land with a long arcing beach facing the town of Fethye to the south accross the bay.

Surrounded by green mountains in the distance.

The Fethiye / Calis area

Calis is a quiet yet busy holiday destination with a seemingly endless beach. Bars & restaurants line the beach area which is block paved along the sea front.

The area is very flat and boasts two very natural attractions - a cooling breeze, perfect for when the local temperatures soar in the summer - and the other - Calis is famous for some of the most beautiful sunsets in the world.

Suitability
For those seeking a beach location and a compact, easily accessible resort. Best for families and
quiet -loving couples. Some nightlife, but plentiful transport to nearby Fethiye which has a greater selection.

Beaches
A long narrow arc of dark sand and shingle lined with sun loungers and shades extend around a broad bay with sheltered waters. Backed by an appealing, mainly pedestrianised boulevard, nicely lit for evening strolls.
Safe to swim, some water sports offered. Turtles lay eggs in the sand at certain times of the year.

Shopping
A good selection of shops with excellent value jewellery, clothes, shoes, beach wear and water sports equipment. Many small, well stocked mini markets. Fethiye has an abundance of shops and a large covered market on Tuesdays. Calis has a popular market on Sundays.

Nightlife
Quite low key with a good selection of bars and restaurants, cafes and cocktail bars on the beach front boulevard with stunning bay views. A few discos, some bars with live music and often belly dancing. Lots more nightlife in nearby Fethiye town.

Eating Out
You'll be spoilt for choice with a large choice of restaurants, cafes and snack bars serving local Turkish fare as well as seafood & Italian dishes, Mexican, Chinese , Indian and of course - English. Restaurants line the beach front boulevard offering airy dining with fine views of the bay.

Activities
An abundance of activities available including water sports, boat excursions, jeep safari's, horse riding, paragliding, fishing and much more.

Transport.
Frequent dolmus (minibus) service to Fethiye and the surrounding area as well as a water taxi service from the beach, along the river to Fethiye town (half hourly).
Car, bicycle and moped hire all available. Plentiful taxis from numerous ranks around the resort.

Flights all year round to Dalaman Airport. Easy Jet have cheap flights from the UK if booking well in advance.
Flights also from Thomas Cook, Monarch, Jet 2, Pegasus and many others.

40 minute transfer from the airport (approx £35 - £40 each way) can be arranged through the owner.

Calis is 20 minutes outside Fethiye by dolmus. The large new bus terminal at Fethiye links the area with every major town or city in Turkey.

“Excellent self catering apartment on fabulous and friendly complex” We had a fabulous time staying in Mick and Sues New Moon apartment. The apartment had everything we needed most specifically: Fridge with large freezer compartment Oven and hob - good practical working ones Washing machine DVD player and TV Within walking distance of the beach, shops and bus Bicycles with bikelocks If we had of wanted wifi that was available too The apartment was 2 bedroomed and decorated stylishly throughout On top of all these things, the whole complex is really friendly and is a mix of owners and holiday renters. The swimming pool is fabulous and is cleaned everyday by 'Rambo' (who is so funny and helpful). The pool is a great size and depth, deep enough to dive and long enough to do a few lengths to work up a bit of an appetite (some of the pools in other complex's are tiny). Peter and Rita live on the New Moon site most of the year and are a mine of information and are so kind and helpful. You could not ask for a nicer place with nicer people. “Sunshine and peace” My first visit to Turkey and I found it all amazing. I shall defiently be returning and staying again at New Moon! Chalis is away from the Pommy crowd at Hirosunu and Oludeniz and yet has plenty of restaurants accessible with a little walk or using the bikes. Bus connections to Fethiye are excellent and you will not have problems with the locals understanding you and they are very helpful. The local turkish food in particular the mezzes are delicious. Get some full fat yoghurt and honey and indulge! The apartment has everything you need, very modern and clean. The pool area was never too noisy or crowded.The owners gave me some great advice on where to eat and shop. The boat taxi to Fethiye for an evening out is a must. All in all a great holiday and place to stay wether with friends or family and kids. Thank you Sue and Mick. “2nd time around, just as perfect.” My wife and I returned to this lovely apartment for a second time following a fabulous holiday here last year. The apartment is so well cared for and is on a small complex with well kept pool and gardens. The apartment has everything you need whilst on holiday, a new shower has been installed since our last visit. There are many attractions to keep you busy should you wish, or relaxing by the pool with a cocktail is superb. We would recommend this apartment. “perfect apartment” spent a week here and it couldn't have been better. The apartment was one of the nicest we have stayed in. Very well equipped with everything you needed, like a home from home. The pool was lovely and some days we had it to ourselves. The owners arranged return transfers for us and there was no problems at all . We will definitely return. “Two months in New Moon Appartment” We are a retired couple who spent october and november 2011 in New Moon Appartment Fethiye. The house was perfect for us and suitable for family use also. Our daughter with two small girls (4 and 6 years) stayed ten days with us and the kids enjoyed the swimming pool and the beaches of Calis and Öludenitz. The appartment is also a good place to study the south-west Turkey with car or buses. As we left the place we felt that we could have stayed longer. “Excellent accomodation with a lovely garden and pool” We stayed at the New Moon Apartment in July 2011 and had a really great time. The apartment is set in a small complex in beautifully maintained gardens with an excellent pool, that lends itself to a relaxing atmosphere. Located slightly away from the main part of the resort which is approximately a 15 minute walk, having the use of the bikes is great and the taxi service (Yellow cabs) is available day and night. The local restaurants within 5 minutes walk are great and cheaper than those on the front, however the standard in general is good value and of high quality.
