About the home

If you want to go with friends and familyand stay on the same complex then we can help - Please see bottom of advert for our other apartment details. We have a 3 bedroom luxury duplex apartment in a quiet location yet only 5 mins walk from the beach, and 10 mins from a Turtle beach conservation area. It is 2 mins from a dolmus(bus) route taking you to Fethiye. Or take the water taxi to Fethiye for less than £1.

There is something for everyone at Calis, local attractions are; quality Restaurants for that quiet meal, night life for the teenagers, the waterpark for the kiddies and the recently opened Floodlit tennis courts. You can organise All day boat trips for less than £10 including BBQ, plus Jeep safari's, horse riding and many more activites.

This apartment is ideal for couples or families alike. The apartment has 3 large double sized bedrooms and an open plan kitchen with breakfast bar. There is a dining area that can sit 6 comfortably.There is a large lounge area with double doors leading to a large balcony with mountain views. There are 2 luxury sofas with matching coffee table. a plasma TV and DVD/CD and a selection of CDs and DVDs for your viewing, both adult and children. We have provided a safe in the apartment for the safekeeping of your valuables.

One double bedroom has double doors opening out to a juliet balcony with mountain views. Hand made wardrobes and bedside cabinets and headboard.The other bedroom has built in wardrobes and twin beds with bedside tables.There is a family bathroom with electric boiler for constant hot water, shower, vanity unit and washing machine. The top floor master bedroom has fully fitted hand made wardrobes, with a large en suite with bath and shower, plus the added luxury of its own very large private roof terrace with further mountain views. We can provide a cot or small child's bed in the large master bedroom at no extra cost. Sunbeds, cushions and parasols are provided too.

There is a large floodlit pool and smaller kiddies pool in well maintained large gardens. There is a daytime security and maintenance presence at the complex for any problems or concerns. There is a large sunbathing area around the pool and we provide sunbeds for use on either the apartment terraces or around the pool.

Smoking is not permitted anywhere inside the apartment. No pets allowed.

Conditions

A non refundable 20 % deposit is required to secure the booking, with the balance being paid 10 weeks prior to departure. A refundable £100 breakages deposit is also required with the balance and this will be returned to you within 14 days of your return after satisfactory inspection of the property.

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region

The area is steeped in History and has many ancient sites and ruins to explore both locally and further afield. Either hire a car or use the many dolmus routes to get around.

The Turquoise Coast is warm and sunny from April through to October. The hottest months being July and August where temperatures can reach 100 degrees. For cooler times June and September are very pleasant although even here the day time temperatures can still reach 80 degrees.

The Fethiye / Calis Beach area

Diary of my week's holiday at Calis Beach

MONDAY: relaxed by the pool, recovered from the journey, ate at one of the many restaurants within 5 mins walk of the apartment, and watched the famous sunset whilst sipping our wine. It was spectacular. Do not miss it.
TUESDAY: visited Fethiye market, found many bargains, hundreds of stalls, had freshly cooked pancakes. In the afternoon we went to the waterpark, just 2 mins walk away. Lost count of how many times we went down the slides. Great fun though, but so exhausting, I'll sleep well tonight.
WEDNESDAY: went on jeep safari, visited Saklikent Gorge, watched hand made Turkish carpets being woven and had mud bath. And only cost £8 with lunch included and pick up and drop off. In the evening we found a bar in Calis with some turkish entertainment and had a Raki or two.
THURSDAY: spent morning on beach, lovely warm safe sea 5 mins from apartment, walked to the turtle beach conservation area in the afternoon, pleasant 15mins stroll. Played tennis in the evening on the floodlit courts, well, we needed to do some exercise to cope with all this delicious food we keep eating
FRIDAY: Booked a 12 island boat trip. Wow, fantastic value for money. Picked up and dropped back to the apartment, out all day sunbathing on a great boat, visited and did some snorkelling at some picturesque bays, had a BBQ on the boat and only cost £10.
SATURDAY: Caught the river taxi to Fethiye harbour (only £1), explored the many interesting shops and side streets. There really is something for everyone here. Walked along the beautiful harbour promenade and stopped for a coffee and watched the world go by. Very relaxing. Decided to get the Dolmus (local bus) to Olu Deniz to swim in the Blue Lagoon and laze on the beach for the afternoon. Next year i might try the para-gliding.
SUNDAY: Today is market day in Calis, only 5 mins from the apartment, so not far to carry all those bargains back, t-shirts, jeans, jewellery, handbags and so so cheap. And more Pancakes off course. Decided to have a lively last night out at the nightclub with our new friends, danced till dawn then 5 mins stroll back to the apartment.
MONDAY: Just enough time to pick up some lovely momentos of a great holiday from the local craft shops before being picked up for our 45 mins transfer to the airport.

Great holiday, I'll be back for 2 weeks next year as I ran out of time to do everything.

Fly to Dalaman Airport. 3-4 hours from UK Airports. Transfer time from Dalaman to Calis is between 30-45 mins depending on whether you go through the newly opened tunnel in 2006 or go over the mountains for the very pretty scenic route. We can arrange transfers for you at a cost of £60 return for up to 3 people, this increases to £70 for 4-6 people and £80 for 7 - 9 people and £100 for 10+. These prices may be subject to change at short notice.

“wonderful relaxing holiday” We stayed at Mike and Diana's apartment for 12 days and it was our best family holiday yet...the weather was super hot but the fully air conditioned apartment eased any discomfort. The pool was never too crowded and the fact the apartment has its own sunbeds meant you never had to fight for space around the pool- we were often the only people in the pool in the morning- who could imagine that in August? There are numerous day trips in Calis so your holiday can be as active as you like- We fully recommend the jeep safari, our sons aged 11 & 7 had a wild time and loved the mud bath at the end! We will definately be returning back to Calis and to this apartment- the fact that the Turkish people are so welcoming and enjoy speaking to the children made all the difference.
