Amenities within the village of Ortakoy: a short walk away. A few village shops selling most provisions. On Wednesday there is a small market selling fruit and veg. A kebab stall is in the market place a number of days a week. Lovely food. A pide shop for delicious pide and pizza, also ice cream to eat in or take away.

The quaint and traditional town of Kemer is 6 miles away. It has a town square with shops, mini markets. There is a cash machine, post office, butcher, pharmacist, international phone boxes, internet cafe, baker.

A good sized market every Friday where local produce of fruit and veg, clothes and souvenirs can be bought.

A lovely restaurant with a picturesque riverside setting next to Kemer park. We love the mixed grill and costs 10YTL, is excellent value, around £4. A restaurant overlooking the Kemer valley, with fantastic views. Guest comments ; excellent range of food and exceptional value for money. In Uzumlu our friend own the wine bar.

Turkish food is held by many to be one of the world’s greatest cuisines. Dining is regarded as an occasion – unhurried, highly hospitable, and ceremonial!

Fethiye, an ancient and bustling town, with magnificent natural harbour, lovely sea views, and wonderful promenade with bars and restaurants. A great place to watch the world go by. There are plenty of restaurants and a variety of shops. Tuesday market is a must for the fruit and veg market in particular.

You can expect a warm and welcoming Turkish hospitality while shopping and apple tea is often served while negotiating the price! Prices are very reasonable.

The Hammam Turkish bath is well worth a visit for a true taste of traditional pampering. It is a most amazing experience; to see how clean you skin looks and feels after this treatment. The bath pillow foam is heavenly. A real treat and Turkish experience, truly rejuvenating for the skin. You can even enjoy a rose oil massage after. Open early morning until late into the evening.

You will find Turkey to be a very child friendly and safe environment. The Turkish people are friendly and hospitable.

"Wonderful whole mind and body experience"

Awakening the next morning of our arrival, we experienced the view of the sun's rays climbing over the mountains was spectacular, as we stood there in awe I felt I was in a spiritual space it was wonderful. It was the start of many memorable experiences. Our situation gave us opportunities to visit big markets, visit the beaches, explore caves, visit ancient buildings, turkish baths, restaurants and to enjoy the gorgeous locally grown vegetablesand fruit. The local and town people were patient, helpful and smiled easily. We experienced adventure and found ancient ways of work. I would advise anyone who visits, to travel by bus from the villas into the towns as it's something else altogether and shouldn't be missed.

Thanks for the lovely feedback. Our pictures really do not do justice to the mountains and serenity of the location. You will enjoy a relax holiday and see the real Turkey, but are close enough to visit attractions, restaurants and many more Turkish delights.
