The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region
The delightfully named Turquoise Coast named for its water, appearing turquoise as the sun sets in the sky. Enjoying a cup of coffee or turkish tea, taking in the wonderful views of the snow capped mountains in the distance.
The protected coastline at Patara is truly spectacular and well worth a trip to enjoy the sun,sea and sand. Enjoy the natural beauty at Saklikent George, Butterfly Valley and the more distant Oludeniz.. The historical sites of Xanthos, Patara, Olympus and the sunken cities of Kekove & Myra offer a fascinating insight into Turkey's archaeological history.
Fethiye / Yaniklar area
Fethiye is the major harbour town of the region and only a 15 minute drive from Oasis. The town is easily accesible by taxi or local 'dolmus' which operates every 5 minutes during summer Fethiye has a beautiful harbour, bustling and vibrant with local boats for hire or day trips. A selection of shops bazzars, bars and restaurants to suite everyones pocket and needs. Clothes and jewellery are mostly preferred by holiday makers, but there's something for everyone.
Markets are usually every day through the summer months. Calis Beach - the nearest swimming area to Fethiye, reached by a short road journey, 20-30 minute walk or by water taxi is well worth a visit.
Oludeniz: - the world famous lagoon is a must for all holiday makers, take in the scenery, the calm waters of the sea, the shops and restaurants and enjoy a wonderful day to remember. NEW TO YANIKLAR IS A GO-KART AND QUAD RACING TRACK ONLY 3 kilometers away,FOR ALL THE FAMILY
