About the home

Spacious privately-owned villa set within a peaceful area of Calis, yet only a 5 minute walk to the beautiful bustling Calis beach where you will find a wide variety of restaurants, bars and shops, and water-taxi to Fethiye.

The fully-fitted kitchen has all modern appliances including a washing machine.
The spacious lounge has a door leading to the terrace for alfresco dining.
2 main bedrooms have 4-poster double beds, small bedroom has full-size bunk beds. One of the main bedrooms and small bedroom each have their own balcony.

Owner lives adjacent to the villa, who will meet you upon your arrival. She is also available for any information you may require.

Activities in the area include:
Tennis Courts, Water-park,Turkish Bath, Quad-bike rental, bicycle hire, fishing and of course Calis Beach. You can book day-trips for boat tours, Jeep Safari, trips to Gocek, Turtle Beach at Dalyan,

The town of Fethiye is 3 km distance, and can be reached by Dolmus, which are frequent - every 10 mins - and is just a few steps away from the Villa, or by Water Taxi 4 mins walk away, (highly recommended.) Within 3 mins walk of the Villa, there is a Pharmacy, a dentist and a Medical clinic.

Interior facilities are to a high standard including satellite TV, I-pod docking station, 2 four- poster double beds with luxury mattresses and full-size bunk beds, air conditioning in each room plus separate portable fans, 2 modern shower rooms, one with double -size shower. Fully fitted kitchen including microwave, full size oven, full size fridge/ freezer, toaster, in fact everything you need to make your stay feel like home from home.

Further details outdoors:
In the daytime you can have the use of a large swimming pool, just a minute's walk away from the villa.
Exterior facilities at the villa include a roof terrace which has the most spectacular mountain views. For those who wish to relax under the stars, this is the perfect setting for a romantic retreat to the roof- top terrace where you can chill out in the pergola on one of two comfy sofas, after dining out at one of the local restaurants.

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region

This is probably the easiest area of Turkey to get excited about. From Marmaris to Antalya the coastline is gorgeous, the weather is reliably excellent and there are heaps of things to see and do. The Turquoise coast at its finest has become the destination of first choice for many first time and repeat visitors to Turkey. It is also, of course, the area that shows the highest level of tourist development.

The coastline from Marmaris to Fethiye is green and spectacular, the beaches are good and it is here, The key to enjoying all the delights that this area offers is mobility and if you can hire a car or just get on the myriad of small buses running up and down the coast, the effort and expense will be repaid.

Between Fethiye and Antalya there are a score of sites worth seeing, Lycian , Dorian, Roman, whatever. Highlights include Myra, Simena, and just about everything in the Xanthos valley, not forgetting the magical site at Olympos.

Southwest Turkey, along and inland from the popular "Turquoise Coast", was home to the ancient Lycians who were one of the most enigmatic people of antiquity. Although little historical record has been left behind them, what has been discovered reveals a fascinating people culturally distinct from the rest of the ancient world. Around twenty major sites remain today with the Lycians' unusual funerary architecture dominating the breathtaking unspoiled land of Lycia.

The Fethiye / Calis area

Calis, described as 5 km. away from the province and best place to watch sun go down, is one of the most favorite places of the province tourism with its 4 km. of beach, cool breeze during hot summer nights, appropriate for water sports, restaurants, bars, shopping and transportation possibilities. Calis also boasts two very natural attractions - a cooling breeze, perfect for when the local temperatures soar in the summer months, and you can see what the other one is - Calis is also famous for some of the most beautiful sunsets in the World.

Tuesday is a busy day in Fethiye town and Calis also holds its very own market on a Sunday. The market is bustling with hundreds of stallholders selling everything you can possibly think of. Superb local grown fruit and veg at very low prices together with Turkish "Versace", "Gucci", "Breitling", "Tag Huer", "Rado", "Rolex" etc. They look identical to the real thing and are usually available in two grades. Please shop around however and barter for bargain prices.

Fethiye, one of the oldest towns on the Lycian Coast, is also one of the most preferred and frequented towns on Turkey's Mediterranean shores. The town is situated on a very secluded bay, which is a natural marina, strewn with islands. The marina shelters large and small leisure and charter boats as well as fishing boats, and is visited by numerous cruise lines. During the summer season, a ferryboat makes round trips to Rhodes, only one and a half hours away. When you walk around Fethiye, have a break at one of “Paspatur” Cafes for a cup of Turkish coffee or apple tea, it will keep you relaxed and keep your mind on Fethiye as “the shining light of eco—world, worth discovering”

While in Fethiye, it is well worth a visit to the famous Fish Market, where you choose your own fish from the market stall and one of the many restaurateurs surrounding the market itself do the cooking for you - delicious! Sit, relax and enjoy.

There is an 18 hole championship golf course plus 9 hole training golf course at Sarigerme which is approximately 1hr drive from Calis driving towards Dalaman airport.
