About the home

Spacious 2-bedroom first floor apartment with sea views in the popular location of Calis Beach. The apartment is set in a peaceful area near the canal, yet just metres from all amenities. There is a supermarket, bus-stops, a bar and a restaurant all within 300 metres of the apartment, while the beach, water park, and all the beachfront restaurants and bars are all just 3 minutes walk away. Fethiye is a 10 minute bus (dolmus) ride away, with its bustling harbour, shops, boat trips and history. Ancient Lycian Tombs and the Amphitheatre, sit next to pavement cafes and waterfront promenades for the days when you don't fancy the beach

Conditions

£50 per week deposit is payable to confirm the booking. The balance is due 6 weeks before the start of the holiday.

We prefer payment by paypal, although payment by BACS is also welcomed.

A £100 security/damage deposit is payable with the final balance and this will refunded within 10 days of the end of the holiday subject to satisfactory inspection by the owners or their agent.

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region

The Turquoise coast is one of the most beautiful and historically interesting coasts on the Mediterranean, with Lycian tombs and amphitheatres, Gorges and Mud Baths, Boat Trips round the Islands, Turkish Baths, and miles of stunning coastline.The weather in this region is typically Mediterranean, with the summer months being very hot (average day-time temperatures between 30°C and 40°C) with moderate humidity.

The Fethiye / Calis Beach area

From the apartments you'll find Calis beach just a five minute stroll away, with its long promenade lined with bars and restaurants serving everything from breakfast (including English) to evening meals (all tastes catered for), or you can just unwind by the beach with a drink watching the famous Calis sunset .

Calis is famous for its gentle breeze which is very welcome during the hot summer months. The beach is home to the Carretta carretta turtle which can often be spotted in the waters, especially during the early morning. At the waterfront in Fethiye, just as in Calis, you'll find lots of places where you can book trips, everything from fishing trips to visiting some of the beautiful sites Turkey has to offer including the Twelve island boat trip, kaya koy (the ghost town), Pamukkale (cotton castle), horse riding, paragliding off Babadag mountain (Olu Deniz), Saklikent gorge, Dalayan mud baths, jeep safaris, Turkish baths, Butterfly cove, Patara beach, the list is endless with something for everyone. You can even take a boat trip over to Rhodes, maybe stay overnight!

The nearest Airport is Dalaman - approximately 40 mins away. There are daily flights to Dalaman Airport from most International Airports.

Easyjet fly from Bristol, Manchester, Stansted & Gatwick
Thomas Cook, Thomson, Monarch and Jet2Save fly from most regional airports.
Pegasus flies from Stansted, and Atlasjet is also worth checking out.

We are able to arrange airport transfers direct from Dalaman to Bambu. You will be met at the airport by someone holding a sign with your name on, and brought directly to your apartment where we will be there to meet you with the keys. Price for the transfer service is £35 each way (£70 return) for up to 5 people.

Car hire is available locally for approx £25 per day, & also at the airport but a car is not needed at the apartments, as everything is within a very short walking distance.

“Lovely Apartment, very relaxing holiday” We have just returned from a holiday in Turkey, staying at the Bambu Apartments at Calis Beach Fethiye.. The Apartment was lovely, very clean, light and airy, Our Apartment was on the first floor, it had two bedrooms, one was a double, the other had three single beds in it. The Apartment had two good sized balconies, also a small Juliet balcony. The Apartments had a lovely swimming pool which was kept spotlessly clean. The Area was was very peaceful, but just a five minute stroll to the shingle beach, promenade and some lovely Restaurants.Our favourite was Georges.There were some good supermarkets near by. We love Turkey and find the Turkish people so friendly. Ann and Gary were so helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them It was so easy to book the Apartment, they arranged for us to be picked up at the Airport and taken back to the Airport at the end of our stay, they booked trips for us and were available at all times to answer any questions, but were not in our face, they were there if we needed them. Our security deposit was returned to us within 24 hours of us arriving home. We would not hesitate in recommending Bambu Apartments to anyone and we will certainly stay there again. Thank you Ann and Gary for making our holiday so special.

“Beautiful sea view apartment in Calis Beach area” We stayed in one of Gary and Ann's apartments for the second year running. Bambu is perfect in every way. It is a very short walk to the main beach promenade whilst being far enough away from the lively main street to be quiet both day and night. The apartment itself was very well equipped plus decorated in a Turkish style with all amenities available including a cold water machine in the main foyer for use within the apartments and by the pool - very thoughtful. The hosts - Gary and Ann - are extremely friendly and helpful without being intrusive and their knowledge of the local area and places to visit/things to see and do is valuable. We travelled with two teenagers (14 years and 18 years) who both enjoyed the pool and the locale to the full. We would have hesitation in recommending Bambu and Calis as a holiday destination and hope to return again..... soon!
