About the home

Ground floor fully furnished apartment, on small (14 apartments) complex. Comfortably sleeps 4.

Accommodation comprises two double bedrooms with one double and 2 single beds. Open-plan fully-fitted kitchen and lounge which leads out onto balcony which has table and chairs for 4 people. Family bathroom. Shared pool and also a smaller children's pool. Sun loungers provided.

The apartment is strictly non smoking.

Air conditioning units are in the living area and both bedrooms and have remote controls.

The kitchen/living area has a breakfast bar and stools for 4 people and has lots of natural light as it is dual aspect. There is a balcony overlooking the garden and pool at the back leading out from the living area and another balcony at the front leading off one of the bedrooms. The kitchen has a washing machine and large fridge/freezer. There is also a locked storage area for suitcases.

The bathroom consists of shower, wash basin and WC.

There are sun loungers, tables & chairs and parasols available for use around the pool area.

Apartment is on the ground floor and on one level. There are a few steps up to the front door and also a few steps off of the rear balcony. The pool and garden are also on one level.

Linen and towels are provided however please bring your own beach towels. Extra linen available for stays of more than one week.

Welcome pack on arrival can also be arranged.

We advise you to take out full holiday insurance as there is no public liability for property owners in Turkey.

Strictly no smoking except on the balcony.

Refundable breakages deposit of £150 required with final payment, to be refunded within two weeks of your departure (subject to satisfactory property inspection).

£50 per week deposit required on booking. Balance of rental fee due eight weeks before your stay to secure booking.

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region

A stunning stretch of coastline. Turquoise seas, sunshine for 300+ days of the year, varied resorts and local Turkish hospitality. Very close by is the beautiful beach and blue lagoon at Olu Deniz a must for your list of places to visit. If you feel particularly energetic there are a range of sports and outdoor acitivities available in the area.

Inland there are pine clad mountains and all the fresh air you could possibly want.

As well as the spectacular scenery there are many important archeological sites.

The Fethiye / Calis Beach area

Calis (pronounced "Chalish") is a quiet yet busy holiday resort with a seemingly endless beach. The beach is mostly dark sand and shingle backed by a pedestrian walk way which is lit in the evening. Bars and restaurants, offering Turkish, Italian, Indian, Chinese and seafood etc, line the seafront. Parts of the beach are also very popular with the local turtle population who come and lay their eggs in the sand. Calis also boasts two natural attractions - a cooling breeze and is famous for some of the most beautiful sunsets in the World. Tours of the local area, Pamukkale (Cotton Castle), Saklikent Tlos Gorge for example and nearby islands can be arranged at the booths along the seafront. The resort is very flat so ideal for people with mobility problems.

There is a small selection of shops stocking jewellery, beachwear etc and many mini-markets. There is a large market on Sundays approximately 20 minutes walk from the apartment. There is an aqua park, again, around a 20 minute walk from the apartment.

A short bus ride (approx 20 mins) or water taxi (approx 30 mins) away is Fethiye. Fethiye has lots of shops, bars and restaurants and a large market on Tuesdays. There is also a fish market where you can buy fresh fish and seafood to take back to the apartment to bbq or the restaurants nearby will cook your food for you. There are a couple of larger Supermarkets in Fethiye.

Another bus ride away is the beautiful beach and lagoon of Olu Deniz. The sheltered lagoon's waters are calm and warm which are ideal for children.

There is so much to see and do or just relax and do nothing!

“home from home” great apartment and probably the best equipped we've stayed in- even had a shopping trolley which was so convenient to carry water in the Turkey heat!! We've stayed at a number of apartments in Calis and this rates as one of the best - everything you need including a very comfy bed! Apartment block was quiet but only a 10 min walk to the beach. We definitely look forward to returning.

“Lovely, quiet location with all modern amenities” This is a lovely apartment with everything you could wish for to have a reaxing holiday. The aprtment was spotless, the grounds pretty and cared for. The pool was lovely and very well maintained. The apartment has 2 balconies to provide shelter and take advantage of the Calis breeze. The apartment is well equipped and has it own sun loungers for use around the pool as well as patio furniture. There is even a shopping trolley you can use for trips to the market! The owner, is very helpful, he answered all our emails promptly and in a professional manner. He also provided a very helpful booklet in the apartment to inform us about useful tips, places to go, directions to markets, bus info etc, The apartment is a 5 min walk into Calis centre, it is a beautiful resort, with plenty of lovely places to eat. We found people to be friendly, genuine and helpful throughout our stay. Our teenagers enjoyed the banter with bar staff and made lots of new friends as the resort is small enough to meet up with people. “Lovely clean modern apartment decorated to a high standard” Apartment is LOVELY. Everything In there you could possibly need.decorated to a very high standard.Pool area is very clean & quiet, The location is not far from the beach, shops & restaurants where we had some really nice meals. Bars are really friendly & not expensive & neither were the restaurants. All in all we had a FAB holiday. We are hoping to return & we we would stay in the Valetta apartments again without a doubt. “Best equipped apartment we have ever stayed at” Small, very friendly local and visitor atmosphere, quiet and relaxing. Just a walk from both ends of the beautiful beach (with spectacular Sunsets) and Bars, Restaurants etc; A few residents who are very friendly and helpful make you feel welcome. If you don't like grocery shopping, the local supermarkets accept your order by 'phone and deliver express for free!.
