Lissa Links 8
About the home
The Lissa Links Complex, built in 2005, consists of 29 privately owned villas and is considered to have the best swimming pools and gardens in the Calis area.
The Villa is large and spacious, well appointed and recently furnished with quality fixture and fittings. There are 3 bedrooms each with their own bathroom and can sleep up to 6 people. The villa benefits from all the comforts of home plus it has 3 balconies, a veranda and its own garden/BBQ.
The Villa is located in a quiet relaxing location but is within easy reach of all amenities, bars, restaurants, a small Water Park, the beach/promenade and just a short bus/taxi/boat ride from the bustling Fethiye Harbour area. The more lively resorts such as Olu Deniz and Hisaronu are just 20 minutes away by taxi.
Location and things to do
The local Supermarkets and nearest restaurants are only a few minutes walk from the villa. You can catch the passing Dolmus (small mini bus) just up the road to Calis Resort itself with a long sand/shingle beach and promenade filled with shops & restaurants as well as hotels and various entertainments. Or if you're feeling energetic and it's not too hot the resort is within walking distance from the villa, with a fun water Park also on the way.
Catch the Dolmus the other direction to reach the large busy market town of Fethiye or take the scenic river taxi from Calis takes 30 mins into Fethiye port area highly recommended - the best way to travel!
The locals are extremely friendly and the restaurants cater for all food lovers, from the traditional Turkish to Chinese, with kid's favourites all great value for money.
Great location to relax at the beach or by the pool or if you're the energetic type there is plenty of action to go around – water sports, paragliding, scuba, snorkelling! For people who like to sightsee there are many excursions available from a few hours to a few days, prices are very reasonable and the choice is stunning.

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region
Calis Beach is a fantastic location and benefits from a very long beach, many bars and restaurants, a long promenade and beautiful scenery. The Sunsets over the bay and the many islands are legendary. It is connected by excellent and cheap transportation such as the Dolmus buses (costs 2 lira per person), Sea Taxiâ??s, and normal Taxiâ??s. Car Hire isnâ??t needed but if required these can be rented cheaply. Part of the latest James Bond film, Skyfall was filmed at the far end of Calis Beach). Calis is a quiet resort favoured by the English tourists. The restaurants all serve excellent food at a very reasonable price with traditional Turkish kebabs/mezes and other cultures such as Chinese and Indian food. There are good transport links to other resorts such as Fethiye (15 mins), Hisaronu (25 mins) and Olu Deniz (35 mins). Fethiye is very traditional and a wonderful place to explore. Fethiye has a large harbour and marina with many restaurants around the harbour area. There is also an â??Old Townâ?? area where many alley ways serve a multitude of restaurants and shops. Here you will experience true Turkish culture. For those who enjoy the more lively resorts, Hisaronu and Olu Deniz are within reach by taxi or the Dolmus bus. Here you will find a much livelier night life favoured by the young at heart. Olu Deniz is also famous for it's Blue Lagoon and Para-gliding.
The Fethiye / Calis area
Things to do. (Also check www.fethiyelife.com for more details about the area) Boat Trips â?? There are a host of excursions that run daily boat trips from the Fethiye harbour out to the many islands and bays. Great value for money averaging £7 - £10 per person including lunch. Gulet â?? If you are with a larger party, you can hire private sailing boats which will take you wherever to wish using the power of the wind. This is more expensive but is a fantastic experience. Olu Deniz (Blue Lagoon) - This famous beach resort is a great place to spend the day on the beach and an evening meal. When you get to the waterfront, head off to the far right to the Blue Lagoon. Dalyan â?? This is the most beautiful of excursions. The â??African Queenâ?? was filmed here. Dalyan sits on the bank of a river over looking the old Lyceum Temples on the hills opposite. The river snakes through reeds into an estuary full of turtles. The river joins the sea where there is a large white sandy beach. Patara Beach â?? if you do hire a car, then you must visit Patara Beach. This is a protected area with hardly any buildings nearby apart from the old temples and ruins that you drive through to reach the beach. Kaya Koy â?? Also known as The Ghost Town. This is a village that was deserted many years ago when the Greek inhabitants were evicted. Diving â?? For the new and experienced diver, Turkey has some of the clearest and warmest waters in the med. 26 degrees at 20 meters. Fethiye Harbour area has a few Dive boats who can arrange your trip. White Water Rafting - Not for the faint hearted. The mountain trip alone to the head of the rapids is something to relish. The rapids take you through a 1000ft ravine and breath taking scenery, plus some awesome rapids. Quad Biking â?? Spend a day travelling through mountain tracks and small bays, exploring parts of Turkey you would otherwise miss. Children are allowed to travel as passengers so the whole family can enjoy this fun packed day. Ephesus & Pamukkale, Sekilent Gorge & Tlos â?? Ephesus is one of the best preserved ancient cities in Europe/Asia. Visit both Ephesus and Pamukkale in a single trip (over night). Sekilent Gorge is one of natures wonders. Visit both Sekilent Gorge and the ruins of Tlos in a single day trip. Markets â?? Calis has a weekly Market on a Sunday situated to the rear of the villa. There is a much larger market in Fethiye on a Tuesday, Donâ??t forget to haggle. Water Park â?? There is a small water park in Calis by the traffic lights. A much larger Water Park exists in Ovacik and can be booked as an excursion. Eating and Drinking There are many bars and restaurants in and around Calis and Fethiye. Calis caters well for the tourists along the beach front and the main road leading to the beach. If you walk to the far right of the Promenade, the bars and restaurants are good value and very Turkish and laid back, whereas to the left you will reach the Sat Beach Club which is excellent albeit slightly more expensive. If you like meat, the mixed kebabs are a must. If you like fish, you will be spoilt and you must visit the Fish Market in Fethiye where you buy your own fish and take it to one of the many restaurants where they will cook and prepare your food for a small charge. Turkish Mezes are a must. The restaurants in Fethiye are best for these. Ask for a seafood meze and be willing to be amazedâ?¦â?¦
