About the home

This modern luxury Forest Valley apartment is in the beautiful Calis beach resort of Fethiye. Ideal for families, the complex with the mountains as a backdrop, is quite stunning. Peaceful, yet within walking distance to all the attractions Calis has to offer; including the spectacular beach and promenade, the water park, local market and many great bars and restaurants. Local transport stops at the complex and will take you direct into the pretty harbor town of Fethiye. Stay in Fethiye or go on to visit other places using the terrific transportation link there.
The apartment itself is fully air conditioned and has a first & second floor, comprising of a large lounge with TV, DVD and satellite. Three bedrooms, one twin, one twin/double each with a balcony and one double room. Two bathrooms, one with shower and one with full-sized bathtub/shower. A well equipped kitchen/dining room, with full cooking facilities, fridge freezer and washing machine. There is a pull out couch in the lounge for extra guests. There are 6 large balconies, all with picturesque views and a built-in BBQ on the main balcony for al fresco dining. Windows and doors have mosquito screens. The complex is monitored 24 hours by a control centre via security cameras and there is a built-in safe for your valuables. No smoking in the apartment please, there are plenty of balconies!

The apartment has a large communal pool with separate baby pool. There are sun lounges and parasols available for use. The complex is surrounded by a wall and gates making it secure for young children and the complex is monitored 24 hours a day with security cameras.

The local dolmus drives by the apartment 3 an hour on route to Fethiye.

Calis Beach (pronouned Chalis) is situated on the south west coast of Turkey, across the Bay to Sovalye Island and Fethiye. Calis is a small beach resort with stunning views and spectacular sunsets. The area is a fantastic holiday choice as it is situated amongst the mountains and the sea, offering a lovely refreshing breeze all year round. The temperature in Calis varies from 16 in January to 33+ degrees celcius in July & August.

The Fethiye / Calis Beach area

Along the Calis Beach seafront there is a pedestrian boulevard, with many excellent restaurants, bars and shops. The atmosphere is very informal and relaxed here, making it ideal for sun-worshippers and family holiday makers. Daily activities include a selection of water sports, a family day at one of 2 aqua parks, or shopping along the promenade. There are also weekly markets in Calis and Fethiye not to be missed. To get to Calis Beach seafront it is a brisk 15-20 minute walk, 10 minute bike ride or 5 minute taxi ride.
Fethiye is a 15 minute drive or 30 minute water taxi ride away from central Calis Beach. Fethiye is a great place to visit as, regardless of your interests, you’ll be sure to find something to do here – a great meal out, shopping at the local shops for Turkish Delight, a day cruise through the 12-islands, a day of sailing or scuba diving, or a leisurely walk through town with the view of ancient tombs built into the surrounding hills. You can also pamper yourself at one of the many Turkish baths.
A visit to nearby Oludeniz and the Blue Lagoon, approximately 30 minutes away by bus/car. It is the most photographed beach and lagoon in Turkey and is highly recommended as a place to visit. Here you can enjoy paragliding over the magnificent bay.

Flights are to Dalaman airport. The cost of transfers can be arranged from £75 return and will take approximately 35-40 minutes.

Please note that EU public Liability Insurance isn't available in Turkey yet. You should enure that you have adequate holiday insurance coverage. The owners disclaim any liability.

£10 per person visa charge is payable at Dalaman airport.

The local bus (dolmus) drives right past the apartment hourly and cost 1.5 YTL, less then 50p, and will take you through Calis and into Fethiye (15-20 minute drive). The dolmus will also take you directly to the popular Sunday Calis market and to the Tuesday Fethiye markets.

“Beautiful villa in peaceful surroundings” The property was beautiful and excellently maintained. Every amenity was catered for, well equipped kitchen, bedding was plentiful and very homely. The property owners were thoughtful and provided directions to Calis Beach, Fethiye and Olu Denize. Very easy to access transport either from dolmus which passed by the villa every 15 minutes or by taxi, accessable from free phone outside the villa. Fares were very cheap. Bicycles were also provided. The pool facilities were excellent and well maintained. Plenty of room for sunloungers and the gardens were beautiful. The surrounding area was very quiet despite local development and further building works. Slight disruption to access to Calis Beach but this was only for a couple of days whilst there was resurfacing to the bridge. Other villa owners were very helpful and friendly. Thoroughly enjoyable holiday and we look forward to returning next year.

“A great family holiday!” Excellent appartment with lots of extras which were really appreciated. The pool and surrounding gardens are beautifully maintained which led to many relaxing days around the pool with the kids. The small pool was great fun for Toby (4) and Alys (2).
