About the home
Marina view has stunning views of Fethiye bay and the surrounding pine clad mountains. Just a 10/15 minute walk to the marina and Palm Island and a further 5 minutes to the main town centre with its excellent shopping, fabulous restaurants and bars. Situated in a sought after quiet area of Karagozlar in Fethiye.
There is a handy local bus (Dolmus) stop nearby with connections to Fethiye town centre and surrounding areas such as Hisaronu which is great especially at night for its endless array of bars and restaurants and Olu Deniz for its fabulous sandy beach and its impressive "Blue Lagoon".
Calis beach is also very popular with a nearby boat connection linking to it. There are a number of bars and restaurants at which to enjoy lunch. It is only at night that you can fully appreciate the fabulous views of Karagozlar harbour and Fethiye marina when all the resort, yachts and boats lights come on.

Marina View Apartment features a large through lounge and dining area with marble floor and fabulous views across Karagozler Bay, where boats and yachts moor at anchor. There is a large 3 seat sofa, which also turns into a comfortable double bed, a further 2 seat sofa, large colour TV with cable channels and DVD player with music facility, Internet connection.
The lounge contains a small selection of books, DVD films, music CD’s and playing cards. There is a dining table and chairs and occasional tables. The lounge is fully air conditioned with remote control. There is a large terrace balcony overlooking the pool.
The well equipped kitchen is light and provides all the amenities you would expect. This includes a large fridge/freezer, microwave, 4 burner gas hob and plenty of cupboards containing traditional crockery for the dining area and a range of quality plastic crockery for the terrace patio.
The apartment will be provided with tea towels and cleaning cloths. There are two excellent supermarkets in Fethiye with English speaking staff and a couple of local shops which deliver to the apartment. The owners of the apartment also have a very good relationship with a reliable local taxi driver for odd trips, such as going to the market!
There is a good size lounge terrace overlooking the swimming pool. The lounge terrace is the “alfresco” dining room, with table, sunshade and chairs. There is a fabulous gas barbecue for your use! The apartment is provided with a good quality plastic crockery set complete with plenty of drinking glasses.
The large master bedroom is truly stunning with beautiful bay views to wake up to, large double bed, built in wardrobes, air conditioning / heating and a master en-suite with Jacuzzi bath, shower & wc (complete with bay views)!
Both the 2nd & 3rd Bedrooms have En-suite Shower & WC. The apartment caters well for children with a travel cot and stair gate available for use. There is also a washing machine, iron & ironing board and a large clothes airer. There is a safe deposit box included within the apartment for your use.

Pool area consists of a large sunny patio area featuring lovely views, with a plunge pool in the centre and comes with plenty of room for sun bathing. Property has direct access to pool via its own steps or via the side entrance of the property.
The pool area below the lounge terrace is entered via a small gate which can be kept closed for the protection of children. The pool area offers a large fully tiled terrace which has sun beds provided. Please note that the pool is shared with the apartment next door. All pool cleaning and preparation is provided in your stay. The pool patio is a great place to see the sunset across the bay!
The property has private gate access and an electronic operated external front door, this can be opened via intercom from inside the apartment or by key externally.
POOL SAFETY: Guests acknowledge that lifeguards are not provided. Guests are responsible for the safety of themselves, their children, and their guests. The pool is for the use of property residents and guests only.

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region
Beautiful turquoise sea, that remains above 15C all year round with some of the most spectacular beaches on the Mediterranean. This combined with the pine-clad mountains of this coastline add to the splendour of the local scenery. Fethiye boasts over 310-days of sunshine per year and still the local vegetation is lush green and vibrant.
Famous for the islands just of Fethiye harbour's coastline, with the twelve-island tour being the most popular, boat trip. Steeped in local Lycian history and famous Greek ruins of Kaya Koyu as well as Roman ruins complete with amphitheatre.
The Fethiye / Karagozler area
Fethiye is a natural harbour and as such has a magnificent coastline, which encompasses a marina, which has been recently developed and now attracts crafts from all over the Mediterranean. Fethiye has something for everyone in its compact old town centre from bars, shops and restaurants all contained within vine covered pedestrianised walkways.
Visit Kaya Koyu the ghost village where once over a thousand homes once existed, now you can see the ruins of many of them and there is a smattering of local pancake establishments etc. and why not try the local village wine.
Local boat trips are recommended especially the twelve-islands tour and these trips include a BBQ meal and cost only a few pounds. Tours to the famous trout farm (Yakapark), and the wonderous Saklikent Gorge are also highly recommended as good value for money tours and can be booked locally or taken privately by Taxi. Families may also try the Sultan's water park in nearby Calis, or Kumsal Bowling in Olu Deniz. For the more adventurous there is the Jeep Safari and the brave can do tandem paragliding from Babadag mountain flying from around 6500ft.
For those who want a lively night every night of the week there is Hisaronu which is 6 kilometres from Fethiye and can be reached via taxi, or dolmus very cheaply, (as with most places, beware of taxi prices at night and try to agree a fee up front before your journey.)
Finally for beach lovers there is Olu Deniz which boasts one of the best beaches on the Mediterranean, at just 8 kilometres away it is the next stop on the dolmus from Hisaronu. This is the home of the sublimely tranquil Blue Lagoon.

Fly into Dalaman Airport and Fethiye is only 45 kilometres from the airport, a 30-40 minute drive.
Transfers to and from Dalaman airport to the apartment can be arranged and currently cost £34 each way based on up to 4 persons sharing a Taxi. (£40 per Taxi, per trip). More than 4 persons requires an MPV vehicle for a maximum of 6 and costs approximately £50.00 each way, for over 6 persons requires a second Taxi at the same rate as the first Taxi and will also cater for up to 4persons.
Large groups who wish to travel together can be catered for on request.

We stayed at Marina View apartments for 10 days in July this year. It is a lovely apartment with large rooms and fully equiped. We travelled with three children age 10, 8 and 5 years so the swimming pool was a real bonus. The local dolmus run every few minutes so transport is easily accesible. There is also a large supermarket close by at the marina. Highly recommended. |

Guestbook for Luxury Marina View Apartment
Marina View Apartment was just as described, absolute luxury! This is a stunning apartment with fabulous views of pretty Karagozlar Bay with its numerous yachts and boats.
We enjoyed many a glass of wine with our barbecue after which we enjoyed watching the sun set over the mountains in the distance ... views to die for! Awaking to a sunrise here is something special and not to be missed ... at least one morning.
This was our fourth visit to Turkey and there is no doubt that this is the most beautiful area in Turkey. Fethiye is great, the right mix of nice bars and restaurants but not too lively.

Just a note to thank you for what turned out to be a fantastic holiday in your apartment. I cannot comment enough how the brilliant the apartment was as it turned out to be a home from home with the benefits of fantastic weather and a pool.
I have left comments in your guests book to evidence this. Mustafa was a gent and very helpful.
One item that may need attending to are new pool beds, the weave tan ones were starting to fray and pull away at the stitching but we managed.
We will try and make it for next year as we enjoyed it so much.

Just a quick note of thanks for another wonderful week at Marina View it was a (very hot) week in Fethiye.
Our discovery for this year has to be the restaurant "Pera" which is near (but not in) the fishmarket.
We've left details in Marina View and if you don't know it or haven't been, I can thoroughly recommend it.
Don't know when we'll make it back to Turkey, but we'll be in touch.

Property can cater maximum of 8 people with large quality double sofa bed. Additional per person prices over 6 persons are £56 per person per week July to September and £35 per person a week at all other times.
The apartment also caters with a baby cot, high chair and stair gates.
These rates are for 2012 and include the use of air conditioning, large gas barbecue and safe deposit box if required.
A £100 deposit (for a 1 week booking) or £200 deposit (for a 2 week booking) is required at time of booking, the balance to be paid a least 6 weeks prior to departure. Cancellations within 6 weeks of departure (details on request).
