About the home
Property is situated a 5 minute walk from all the bars and restaurants on the Calis beach sea front. (Nearest supermarket 2 minutes away, and nearest bar 2 minutes away).2 bedroomed apartment with private sun terrace to sleep 4 with ease. The accommodation has a fully fitted kitchen with cooker hob/oven etc, sitting room with TV/DVD player , 2 double bedrooms, and a large shower room, that small children can also have a shallow bath in. Situated in a small ,quiet ,well run,exclusive development of 12 properties set in their own gardens in a fenced area with a large swimming pool. Suitable for couples and families with children over 5. Not suitable for little ones betwen the ages of 1 and 5 unless supervised at all times by the pool.
Calis has a charm all of it's own, with the most glorious sun sets. It is the beach area of Fethiye, yet it has wonderful cooling breezes off the sea, which adds to it being a good choice for holidays. It is lively enough with plenty of good value eating and drinking places, however it is not the ideal choice if you like night life to go on all night. A lot of British people have chosen to make this place there home because of it's safe and friendly nature. You will therefore find restaurants open all year. Added to this resorts like Olu Deniz and Hirasouno,can be reached easily by the superb bus system called the dolmus, which is cheap and efficient.

Apartment has sun terrace with table & chairs, and use of 6 sunbeds (4 around the pool and 2 on the sun terrace along with a parasol.
All pool inflatables,tennis/table tennis,beach shelter,picnic rucksac,snorkels,flippers and junior fishing equipment provided.

Nearby there is a newly opened tennis club with 5 all weather courts. Also there is a paintballing centre and a junior water park Free pool and table tennis is available to residents at the Golden Moon hotel. All these are within 400 metres of the apartment. Local bars have English T.V and broadcast all sports. Also there is an excellent wind and kite surfing facilities nearby at very cheap rates which makes it affordable to learn and have lessons.

£50 deposit required per week. This is fully refundable once the apt has been checked for damages Full payment required 6 weeks prior to departure.
Conditions
All linen and indoor towels provided (towels not allowed outside the apartment),refundable deposit. Washing machine,iron/ironing board,hairdryers etc provided.
There is a library of a couple of hundred CDS's and DVD's availble for the use if required
The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region
The Turquoise coast has gained it's name because of the colour of the water, which lap up to the lovely beaches. The area is carpeted with pine trees, that look down on to olive groves.
The area is rich in history and no territory was so closely connected with Greece in mythology as Lycia. There are abundance of major Lycian sites still remaining today. To mention but a few, Xanthos (one of the 6 principal cities of Lycia), Letoon (the sacred cult centre of Lycia which include 3 side-by-side temples to Leto, Artemis and Apollo), Kekova-Simena (an area with beautiful scenery and underwater ruins) and Tlos (best known for its fortress-topped acropolis, with its rock-cut tomb-covered sides and its 360 degree panoramic views up on to the lovely beaches.
Turkey is a fabulous country, with breath taking scenery. The Turquiose coasts most famous resort is Olu Deniz,which is easily accessible from Calis Beach.
The Fethiye / Calis Beach area
Calis is based on the fringes of the pretty harbour town of Fethiye,Calis is a busy town with a seemingly endless beach . Calis has many bars and resaurants lining the beach areaand also has its own junior waterpark. Hop on a water taxi or dolmus for a short ride over to Fethiye where there is a fabulous choice f reataurants and a good selection of shops with a cosmopolitan feel, visit the local Fish Market. Choose your own fish to be cooked for you. Go to the OttoPark hotel on your first day, for a Haman, or Turkish bath to prepare your skin for the glorious sun tan you will get. Ther are numerous trips to mountain towns for Bar B Ques. Of course, the beautiful Olu Deniz beach and famous blue lagoon is a short dolmus ride away, and before you reach there, the lively bustling resort of Hirasonu, with it's bars and nightlife, is there to be discovered
.Fethiye is a fabulous town, with a great weekly market and a great harbour. Ther are many boats that leave from the bay, and boats can be hired privately.
See the rock tombs dotted around over Fethiye,take a trip to the medievil castle or a hydrofoil ride to Rhodes.
Also take atrip to the stunning Saklikent gorge.

On arrival at Dalaman airport you will need to take a short journey to the apartment (approximately 40/45 minutes). Your transfers can be arranged for you with a very experienced and reliable private licensed car company at a cost of £60.00 return 1-4 people or £65.00 return 4-6 people. (2011 prices) you will need to pay the airport transfer company direct for your transfer, they will have the keys to the apartment.
Car hire is not necessary, but can be arranged if you wish through www.orangerentacar.com
If you wish to make your own way to the apartment, this will be no problem.

thanks for the apartment we have enjoyed our stay in calis, the place has changed and grown so much since we were last there.
We found ourself quite disorientated for the firs two days. It was all pleasant and we have enjoyed the pool.

We stayed at Golden Moon apartments in July 2008 and found the apartment ideally suited for our family. The complex itself is private and kept in excellent condition and is very close to the beach, bars and restaurants. The pool is situated off the main road surrounded by the apartments so it is private and kept in excellent condition. The other guests and owners made us feel very welcome - in fact it is like home from home but with excellent weather! We would recommend the apartment to anyone and are already planning to re-book for 2009!

with regards to the apartment we found it very clean and tidy. Close to the beach and shops which was very handy and the swimmingpool is always clean and good for the hot weather. We also found that the added dvds and fishing rod in the apartment were handy for something in the evening and spent a couple of evenings fishing for chuffer fish with bread just down from the water taxis. Then we went to a local hotel who cooked them for us and added some chips and salad for 10 lire each.

A wonderful holiday couldn't have been better. Great location, 5 minute walk from the beach and a few minute bus ride for a few pence or a beautiful journey on the water taxi to the nearest town (Fethiye) with a wonderful harbour and great places to eat. The apartment was very clean and tidy with everything we needed (fully equipped kitchen, tennis rackets, inflatables, fishing rods, towels etc). Lyndsay and Peter were always 2mins away if we needed anything or had any questions . The bay trip including a bbq lunch was so good we went twice! Would reccomend the apartment for anyone, families and couples.Altogether a great holiday with lots of activities and things to do or just relax by the sea or pool. Thank you for a wonderful holiday!

Hello Alan, Home safe after a really good holiday. I couldn't remember all the tips you gave me but the apartment was spotless and just right for us and the transfers worked perfectly. Spent many an hour by the pool and had trouble dragging the lads away from it but enjoyed the beach - especially the sandier bit to the right when you hit the front. Lovely warm sea. We didn't bother staying in to eat and went to restaurants at Calis beach, Gunlukbashi (probably spelt wrong but cheap eats) and Fethiye each evening. A great twelve island boat trip, day trip to Saklikent Gorge (thoroughly recommended) with rafting and other stops along the way, and a day at Oludeniz. Clearly many other fascinating day trips to be done but we'll have to come back and do them another time. Pete and Lynsey were really friendly and helpful with plenty of tips. Overall a fantastic family holiday enjoyed by all. We really didn't want to come home and look forward to next time. Thanks very much Alan and Pam
Sorry Alan been hectic since we got back. Yeah apartment was perfect for us. Loads of room and the pool area was great. Cant believe how warm the pool was. Lovely and quiet, mins from everything. Just got to say about the restaurant at the top of the road opposite where the market is called Roka. The food was brilliant and the people who run and own it were lovely. Wish we had gone there earlier in the holiday than we did. Thanks again we had a brilliant time………………..July 08

Just wanted to let everybody know what a great time we had in your apartment, there was everything that we needed, even a great place to sit in the evening to cool off. We made great use of the pool as the weather was fantastic and with a short stroll down to the front where we ate and drank too much it made the apartment a excellent place for staying at. Would recommend this apartment to my friends and hopefully come back again next year.

We would like to say what a lovely stay we had in the apartment, the complex is great, with a great pool, which was very clean and sunny. The people living there were friendly and helpful, the apartment itself, was clean and spacious with all mod cons, it was a joy to stay in, Alan left helpful information there so if you were staying in Calis for the first time you could find your way around easily.
The complex is in a very good location, with local markets and a decent supermarket close by, the bars and beach are only a short walk away, and its in a lovely quiet area.
All in all we had a great holiday staying at The Golden Moon Apartments, we hope to stay again and would recommend it.

Hi Alan Just wanted to let you know what a great holiday we had in Calis. Apartment was super, nice touch having milk, water and biscuits on arrival. Pool was great and so nice having reserved sunbeds and everyone was so friendly. We met some friends of yours there Steve and his wife with Emma and Adam, what a lovely family. We went on the jeep safari, the Dalyan river cruise and the Blue Bays boat trip. We found the trips such good value for money and such fun. Anyway thanks again, we had a great time. We did not cater much in the appartment but there was enough basic crockery for our needs.
The pool equipment and kids stuff left on the landing were very good.
The local area has lots to offer, plenty of places to obtain basic shopping supplies and lots of choice to eat out.
The pool was very refreshing in nice surroundings, quite peaceful and relaxing. Safe for children.
Caretakers helpful and friendly - our oldest son managed to lock us out of the appartment one afternoon
He had no worries depsite us having no contact numbers etc as we were round the pool, he remained chilled and laid back.
We also felt safe in the local area.
