Famous for its beautiful sunsets, the laid-back resort of Calis, with its long stretch of beach and promenade lined with restaurants is within easy reach of the busy town of Fethiye with its picturesque harbour and bustling local market.
The apartment has an open plan lounge/dining/kitchen area and two balconies, one overlooking the pool/children's pool. The accommodation is set in gated gardens making it ideal for families with young children.

The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region
If this is your first visit to Turkey, you're in for a treat! Whether you want to relax in the sun or enjoy a more active holiday, there's something for everyone. Chill by the pool or on the nearby beach, explore the stunning coastline by boat or venture inland on a jeep safari. There are watersports and paragliding for the adventurous, a wide range of restaurants and bars to tempt you, local markets and bazaars for bargain hunting. If you want to know more about the history and culture of the area, there are plenty of excursions to choose from. Add to this beautiful scenery and the warmth and hospitality of the Turkish people and you have the recipe for a perfect holiday.
The Fethiye / Calis Beach area
Calis is a small laid-back resort, a short minibus or water taxi ride from the lively town of Fethiye. The apartment is only a few minutes walk from Calis Beach where shops, bars and a wide choice of Turkish and international restaurants line the promenade. This is an ideal place to sit and watch the beautiful sunsets for which Calis is famous. The long beach means that it never gets too crowded and there are sunbeds and umbrellas available to hire.
A few minutes' walk from the apartment is the dolmus station (local minibus) with a cheap and frequent service to Fethiye. From here, the beautiful beach at Olu Deniz famous for its paragliding, the ghost village of Kayakoy and the lively inland resort of Hisaronu are all within easy reach. You will find many agents along the beach front who arrange boat trips, excursions and sporting activities. The Aquapark is within walking distance or can be reached in a few minutes by dolmus.
If you need a change from working on the suntan, take the water taxi across the bay to Fethiye. Stroll along the picturesque harbour and watch the world go by from one of the waterside cafes or bars. There are several children's play areas alongside the harbour to entertain the younger members of the family. Visit the bazaar for jewellery and leather goods, locally produced pottery and handicrafts, herbs and spices and of course you can't go home without someTurkish delight! Go to the fish market, choose your freshly caught fish and take it to one of the surrounding restaurants where they will cook it any way you like and serve it with all the trimmings. Visit the bustling Tuesday market and haggle for bargains. Indulge yourself with a massage in a traditional Turkish bath (hammam).
If you're looking for a more lively night life, head for Hisaronu for a wide range of bars and restaurants open till all hours.
Because Calis is so conveniently situated, car hire is not necessary but is easily available if you prefer to get around independently.

This was the second year to visit Chalis and stay in this apartment. We went last year, loved it so much we went back this year! The apartment is wonderful. A fantastic size and with the benefits of being upgraded this year so all three bedrooms have a private bathroom. The facilities in the apartment are fantastic, you don't have to wash up or go home with loads of dirty laundry. Everything is there that you need from everything in the kitchen, to hair dryers, air con and DVD/satellite TV The apartments surround a wonderfully clean pool in beautiful gardens. The new maintenance man Bayram is brilliant, if you have any issues he will fix them straight away. He also arranges your transfers to and from the airport so your trip is stress free The area itself is great. Chalis has lots of wonderful bars and restaurants. If you prefer it busier get the water taxi or Dulmus over to Fetiyre where you will enjoy the night life there. This really is a lovely place to spend 2 weeks. The weather was amazing, the people just brilliant, the food and drinks great and very reasonably priced. The trip just can't be faulted! |

This was a really nice spacious apartment with the advantage of a dishwasher & a washing machine which makes it great for families-unfortunately there were no instructions for these appliances which would have been helpful! The apartment has 3 bedrooms with the main one being really big but the 3rd one is very small which is fine for young children but a bit small for 2 teenagers or adults. The location was ideal with a good size pool & only a short walk to the beach,shops & plenty of bars & restaurants. Response: We are grateful to the guest who took the trouble to give us this feedback. This year we are providing an information pack for guests which will include instructions for the washing machine and dishwasher. As for the bedrooms, work has just been completed to alter the layout on the upper floor so that there are now two good sized rooms each with newly fitted en suite facilities, one with a shower and the other with a bath. |

We, a family of five persons from Norway, stayed in this apartment for a week in July 2011. The apartment was perfect for us: room enough for the five of us, nice, bright colours, a kitchen, efficient airconditioning and a balcony. We enjoyed the Calis Beach very much, as it was not very crowded and just a five minutes walk from the apartment. Several of the beach-bars have a free wireless internet connection. Restaurants and grocery stores are close by and it is easy to go to the Fethiye city by a Dolmus. Highly recommended! |
