"very comfortable house"
The house is a great size. We were a party of 4 adults and 4 small children so the 2 large bedrooms were great. We were greeted by Lorraine's friendly husband who showed us around. It took us 10 minutes walking to one beach which was sandy and lovely. The grange beach which is just past fethard village is a beautiful beach. The village is a couple minutes drive from the house. We ate out of the Chinese and the chippy and they were nice. The bar in the village serves lovely food but the service was slow. Duncannon is a lovely village about 15 minute drive and has a beach and a lovely place to eat out. New ross was a half hour drive where we visited the "Dunrody" famine ship and visited the JFK arboretum on the way back. Overall a relaxing holiday. House very comfortable, modern and spacious with everything you need.

"loved the peace and quite"
Great house down a lovely country lane but with a fab beach and quaint village nearby. Beautiful sunsets and clear starry nights. The house is modern and fresh and kept to a high standard. Big garden, plenty of room for football.

My family and I stayed here for a week in August (my wife and I and our 3 boys). Our first view of the property as we pulled up at the gates brought a huge smile to all our faces :-) it appeared to be everything we had hoped for and more! Lovely large garden, nice and safe for the kids to play their ball games or badminton (which they did every day) or for my wife and I to sit out in with a glass (or 2) of wine. Lorraine was there to greet us as we arrived and made us feel very welcome. The interior of the property was very clean and tidy, very tastefully decorated and had 'all the mod cons'. A 10 minute walk from the house and we were on a lovely quiet, spotless beach...we spent a good deal of our time here, fishing or just lazing about. A little longer walk took us to another beach...what a great place this is :-) Waterford, Kilkenny and Wexford all had large supermarkets and lots of great places to shop in general. The castle at Kilkenny was great, well worth a visit. We didn't eat out during our stay as we were so comfortable and happy with the house, we understand however that there are a number of local places to eat in or around Fethard. If you are looking for a lovely base for discovering this beautiful, tranquil and friendly corner of the Emerald Isle, Ru Na Mara is absolutely perfect! We loved our stay so much that we have booked 2 weeks this autumn to recharge our batteries...can't wait...bring it on!
