The main family beach is within 250 metres. Just a five minute stroll away is the village's Fishermen's Quay and the main square with its numerous cafes and restaurants. Ferragudo itself remains charming and unspoilt and has a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The restaurants on the quayside offer seafood straight from the Atlantic.

Built in 2010, the property features a large, contemporary living and dining area furnished to a high standard. There are two large sofas, a dining table that will comfortably seat 8, an LCD 42 inch TV, including Sky TV, Blue Ray DVD player, CD player and ipod docking station.

The room is light and spacious and patio doors lead directly onto a large terrace area, featuring a range of beautiful outdoor furniture, including a L-Shaped sofa, a large round table to seat 8.

The fully fitted kitchen area has integrated AEG appliances, including dishwasher, oven, hob and extractor, microwave, large fridge/freezer. The worktops are black granite and there is ample storage space. There is a breakfast table with bar stools. The kitchen is well equipped with crockery, utensils, toaster and kettle.

Leading from the kitchen is a utility room with fitted cupboards. This area also houses the washing machine/dryer and has a door that leads out to a decking area at the rear of the garden.

There are three good-sized bedrooms, all with ensuite bathrooms. The third bedroom is on the ground floor leading from the large open plan hallway. It benefits from views of the pretty garden. This room features a double bed with two bedside tables a chest of drawers and fitted wardrobes. The adjouning bathroom is beautifully crafted in natural slate tiles and features a shower until, washbasin, bidet and toilet and heated towel rail.

A beautiful staircase with brushed steel and glass bannister leads for the large open plan hall area to the first floor which contains the master and second bedrooms. The master en-suite bedroom has ample storage with large fitted wardrobes, drawers and bedside cabinets. This bedroom has it's own private balcony overlooking the front of the garden. The balcony is furnished so that you can enjoy an early morning coffee or a late afternoon cool drink. The magnificent master ensuite leads directly from the bedroom and has a large step up bath, a large shower unit, washbasin and toilet. This bathroom has travetino tiles throughout.

The second bedroom has the flexibility of being made into two singles or one king size. The stunning en-suite bathroom is fitted with Villeroy and Boshe fittings, including a large shower unit, bidet, toilet and wash basin.

There is a further guest cloak-room downstairs crafted in black slate.

The villa benefits from electronically controlled security shutters and has an entry phone system with viewing panel.

There is a choice of outdoors swimming pools nearby which holiday clients can use at a small charge.

The Algarve region

With over 300 days of sunshine per year, the Algarve is a wonderful destination for a holiday.

There are many beautiful, historic towns and villages to explore, miles of great beaches, fantastic food and a mind-boggling array of sporting activities.

Temperatures on the Algarve vary on average between 15 and 30 degrees Celcius. In peak summer months it can peak hotter than this, although the Algarve sea breezes help to keep the temperature down and so it tends to avoid the extreme heat of the Mediterranean. Despite the temperatures, it is rarely humid.

There is not a lot of rainfall on the Algarve throughout the year. Most of the rain is normally in the winter.


Ferragudo is a traditional fishing village and one of the last unspoilt havens on the Algarve. The village sits above a busy quayside. The pretty cobbled village square, surrounded by cafes, bars and some restaurants is a great place to spend a few hours relaxing and people-watching. In the summer evenings, free entertainment is normally laid on to suit all tastes and ages.

The village comprises many narrow cobbled streets and painted white houses decorated with flowers. The lovely Church of Our Lady of the Conception is worth a visit, if only for the view.

Across the river Arade lies the busier town of Portimao, the second largest town in the Algarve after Faro. Once the centre of the Algarve's sardine fishing industry, Portimao now relies on tourism as much as fishing for its income. It is a relatively pretty town with plenty to see, good shopping and restaurants.

One of the favourite attractions on the Algarve is Zoomarine which is a mixture of a marine centre, zoo and amusement park. The main attractions of the park are the spectacular aquatic displays of dolphins and sea lions and the fun fair for the kids. For an additional cost, you can also swim with the dolphins too.

There are several waterparks in the area and for the more adventurous there are Dolphin and Jeep safaris.

Many of the attractions in the area can be booked at reduced prices through Reception amd most offer transport to and from the village within the cost of the ticket.

There are several golf courses within easy reach by car. Green fees and Tee times can be organised through reception and often a discount may be applied.
