Fayence / Montauroux area
Montauroux is one of several similarly atractive medieval hill villages set on a ridge of hills only 30 minutes away from the famous resorts and beaches. As well as local shops, cafés and restaurants in the village there are lots of others in the area and in the neighbouring villages of Fayence, Seillan and Callian and most of these have wonderful weekly provençal markets. An unusual facility nearby is the St Cassien lake – only 2km from the property - which has sandy bays for sunbathing and swimming and water activities which can be hired including canoes, pedalloes and sailing boats. It’s an ideal location for a holiday home – in the beautiful hinterland just behind the Riviera – 25 minutes from Saint Raphael/Fréjus, 30 minutes from Cannes, 40 minutes from Nice airport.
