The Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur / Var region
The beaches and night life of the Cote D'Azur at St Raphael, Frejus and the Bay of Cannes are about 35 minutes by car. 10 minutes by car to the wooded shores of the Lake St Cassien, famous for its fishing. Here there is swimming, windsurfing, canoeing and sailing (no power boats allowed), plus good picnic areas and restaurants. Fayence itself is a major European gliding centre and it is possible to take "baptêmes" or short baptism flights.
St Tropez, Monte Carlo and Ventimiglia (just over the Italian border) are each about 1 1/2 hours away by car. The dramatic Gorges du Verdon (the Grand Canyon of Europe) and the famous potters' village of Moustier Ste Marie make an excellent day's excursion. There are many other attractive hill villages within an hour's drive. The locality is situated between the perfume town of Grasse and the region main town of Draguignan.
Visiting the numerous vineyards is a great way to spend a few hours or taking a trip over to the Gorges du Verdon to see some amazing views and perhaps swim in the beautiful Lac de St Croix. Alternatively there are the coast resorts of Frejus and St Raphael with their excellent beaches and resorts amenities and facilities.
Fayence area
The villa is close to the charming medieval villages of Seillan, Callian, Tourretes,Montaroux and Fayence. Use of a car is an advantage to explore the surrounding mountains and villages. Fayence and its surroundings offer all essential shopping facilities including supermarkets and a wide variety of restaurants to suit every palate and pocket. It also has facilities for tennis, riding and swimming and for energetic walkers, a magnificent mountain hinterland. Golf is available at the new Terre Blanche domain in Tourettes. There are also good cycle routes along the old railway paths, now tarmaced over.

Further details indoors: Tiled throughout with underfloor heating during the winter and underfloor cooling during the summer as required. Large basement area with table tennis and keep fit machines. Double doors to patio area and pool.
Further details outdoors: The house is set amongst 6000sq metres ( approx 2 acres ) of beautiful pine and oak trees. There is a beautiful view across the valley to the town of Fayence. The garden has a children's climbing frame, a seesaw, a swing and a rope ladder. There are also points amongst the trees to install hammocks. On one of the terraces there is a surface pool 6metres long x 4.5metres wide x 1.5metres deep, constructed from Norwegian pine with loungers and gravel / grass surround.
