About the home

Mas de l’Olivet is situated within walking distance of Fayence village and enjoys splendid views over the valley and countryside. A spacious family home in enclosed grounds and has a good level of privacy. The villa is comfortably furnished, well presented and with a well equipped kitchen. There is also the added bonus of a lovely pool-side kitchen with all appliances and a barbecue. The grounds are on two levels, with a covered dining terrace on the upper level and steps down to the pool area, pool house, sun terraces and a lawned area, ideal for children to play. There is an abundance of Mediterranean plants, flowers and trees to make the whole outside a very welcoming area. The walk to Fayence village is uphill and about 5 minutes stroll will get you to the market place. There is a market three times a week and there is an excellent display of locally grown produce, herbs, spices, olives and other lovely aromas to whet your appetite. You will find plenty of good restaurants with the added bonus of being able to walking back to your villa

The Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur / Var region

The Var is situated just outside of Cannes and is easily accessible to all the popular coastal resorts of the French Riviera. There is plenty to do and lots to see, with an abundance of historical sites, beautiful gardens and of course those lovely sandy beaches. Watersports are available across the coast.

Being near to Lac de St Cassien this property has the added bonus for more gentle water pursuits such as fishing, canoeing, rowing or pedaloes.

The Fayence area

Fayence is a well known and medieval village, perched high and with some beautiful views. This is a very sought after area for holidays and this particular villa is located close to the village.

The property is around 20 minutes from the auto route exit and access to all the tourist attractions are within easy reach. There is plenty to do in the area as it is near to the Lac de St Cassien where you can walk, fish, swim or take out a pedalo. Golf at the Terre Blanche Course is just 10 minutes or further afield at St Endreol although there are plenty of choices for the budding golfers.

By Road - A great many of our clients chose to drive down through France having crossed the Channel either by one of the ferry companies or by the Channel Tunnel. For some - it may be the first time travelling by this route and therefore our suggestions are largely directed at those who need that little bit of extra help.

The Ferries take around 1hr 30 mins crossing time, Tunnel takes 35 minutes, actually crossing time. Please be aware that during busy periods that the queuing time could be a considerable wait before boarding - you should allow for this in your time planning.

Travelling by Plane
There are many airlines flying to our region
the nearest Airport is Nice, about 45 minutes drive. Marseilles is about 1.5 hrs and Avignon for the rail connection is 1.5 hrs depending upon traffic.
Car hire - all the major car hire companies are based at Nice airport or the main railway stations.

“Nice house close to the fantastic village of Fayence” We were two families with children from 9 - 13 years stayen there. The house, pool and garden was very nice. The only thing we was unhappy with was the wifi. When we ordered our holiday, wifi was one of our conditions. We are used to have wifi available 24/7 and the kids are used to play online games. Unfortunately the wifi in the house was a BIG disapointment, and could only be used for minutes a day and a few users at the same time because the owner had only paid for a limited use. The village of Fayence is just 5 minutes walk up hill with lot of lovely restaurants.
