La Bouscarle is a traditional villa set in private gardens close to the beautiful medieval hill village of Seillans.
The villa is ideally placed to take advantage of the nearby attractions of restaurants, outdoor markets and summer festivals.
On the ground floor there is a very spacious living/dining room with direct access to outdoor dining areas. There is a traditional beamed ceiling and a feature fireplace with woodburning stove
A ground-floor double bedroom has French doors opening onto a terrace. A three piece bathroom is adjacent.
The second double bedroom is at mezanine level, with air conditioning, an en suite shower room and access to a spacious sun terrace.
The third bedroom is the studio, a twin bedded room separately accessed from the main house with its own 'rain shower' room.
There is an excellent village pool in nearby Fayence 15 minutes away. This has a large lap pool and a dedicated fenced off toddlers pool. It is surrounded by lawns for sunbathing and picnicing and there is a cafe on site .
There are also swimming and watersport activities in nearby Lake St Cassien.
Tennis courts at both Seillans and Fayence. The beaches of Cannes and St Raphael are around 25km away, St Tropez can be reached in one hour.

The stairs to the first floor are accessed directly from the living area and there is a small pond hence it is not suitable for small children.

The villa is set in a country garden and the lower garden is accessed down wide shallow steps. It is full of flowering Oleander shrubs and fig, mulberry, almond and olive trees. There are far reaching views from the first floor terrace and balcony and there is a small fish pond at the rear of the house.

A well behaved dog is allowed but must sleep outside and please clean up after it.
Refundale breakage deposit of £150 required with final payment to be refunded within two weeks of departure subject to satisfactory property inspection.
25% of rental fee is payable to secure booking and the balance is due 6 weeks before arrival.
If booking within six weeks of departure, the full amount plus breakage deposit is payable.
The Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur / Var region
Seillans is situated 1,000ft above sea level hence the climate is wonderful. The drive from the villa to Seillans is particularly pretty taking you past old chapels, local vineyards and providing beautiful vistas . This area of the Var is equally accessible to both the majestic scenery of the Gorges du Verdon and the glamour and beaches St Tropez and Cannes or take the train from nearby Les Arcs to Marseilles for a day trip or visit ancient Avignon and Aix en Provence the list is endless. There is swimming locally in the excellent pool in Fayence or in Lake St Cassien which also has pedalos and canoes. The countryside is perfect for walking or cycling and there is horse riding within walking distance of the house.
The Fayence / Seillans area
Seillans is a beautiful medieval village with narrow cobbled streets, perched on a hillside with distant views to the coast. It has several art galleries. An added and unusual facility is the local gliding club where you can book 30 minute flights to really appreciate the beautiful area. There are both sophisticated and casual restaurants in Seillans and in the nearby villages of Fayence Callian and Bargemon where you can sit soaking up the atmosphere and the wonderful warm evenings. There are village festivals throughout the summer and the annual Aioli festival at the Chapel of Selves is within walking distance of La Bouscarle There are weekly markets at Seillans and Fayence and the Saturday market at St Tropez is a must, selling everything from food to antiques! Food shopping is easily accessible from local supermarkets and open air markets.

If you look at a map, Seillans is almost directly due north of St Tropez and is less than 1 hour from Nice airport, but also easily accessible by car from Toulon(Hyeres) or Marseilles
Easyjet flies to Nice and Marseilles from variious UK airports. Ryanair flies to Toulon, St Tropez and Marseille. BA and Air France fly to Nice and Marseille. Nice airport is closest.
There are numerous car hire options from Nice and other airports
The TGV train stops at Les Arcs Draguignan.
By car, Seillans is accessible from the A8 Junction 39 Les Adrets - approximately 20 minutes drive.
All well known car hire companies operate from Nice airport.
( It is advisable to research these in advance and book online to obtain the best rates and car of your choice.)
- If driving and approaching from the west on the A8 take the Le Muy exit
-From the east A8 exit 39 Les Adrets .
( If driving from the ferry ports in the north of France we can suggest stopover points with approximate journey times if required.
