A large, light living/dining room leads onto terraces and gardens. The modern kitchen is equipped with built-in induction hob, oven, and dishwasher and a walk-in pantry houses an American fridge/freezer. Off the entrance hall is the downstairs cloakroom and separate laundry room with washer and dryer. The ground floor master bedroom, with has en-suite bathroom with with bath, shower cubicle, WC and double wash-basins. Three further bedrooms are upstairs, all with en-suite shower rooms and sharing a separate toilet. Other facilities include 40" flat screen TV with full Sky package, Wi-Fi connection and table tennis. Air-conditioning in ALL bedrooms

This is a fabulous region of contrasts and diversity: from from busy beaches and shopping to magnificent golf courses or touring the many historical cultural sites in this region.
There are lots of pretty surrounding towns and villages with Provençal markets, lakes to swim in, rivers to explore, and fabulous walking by the sea, locally or in the hills and in the mountains of the Southern Alps where skiing is within easy reach too.
This corner of France receives the largest number of sunny days in the whole country and there are events and activities all year round to enjoy them. There is an abundance of historical sites, beautiful gardens and of course those lovely sandy beaches within 40 minutes of Seillans. With easy access to Cannes, Monaco and Saint Tropez, Seillans offers the ideal choice for being away from the crowds.
The Fayence / Seillans area
Seillans is part of the Canton de Fayence, just west of Grasse and north west of Cannes. The Canton consists of five ancient perched villages, Montauroux, Callian, Tourettes, Fayence and Seillans. Seillans, awarded the accolade “village Fleuri de France” is considered one of the most beautiful. It has a baker, grocery store, butcher, pharmacy, taverns, several good restaurants and a tennis club. In nearby Fayence a cultural centre has regular musical and theatrical events. In the valley below the villages there are several large supermarkets, an international medical centre, a fabulous spa, a world class gliding centre, and the famous golf course ‘Terre Blanche‘. The Lac St Cassien (30 minutes away) offers various water sports and is one of the best known European fresh water lakes where you can fish for the famous ‘Giant Carp’.

Seillans is almost directly due north of St Tropez and is less than 1 hour from Nice airport, but also easily accessible by car from Toulon (Hyères) or Marseilles.

We spent a lovely week at this beautiful villa. Others have complained about the smell of the drain but we did not experience that. The villa is comfortable and the pool water delicious! I would highly recommend it. |

The villa is pretty and was perfect for our family of six (Mum, Dad, 2 kids, Granny and G'Dad) Just what we wanted. The pool was fantastic and clean, heated and the kids loved it. All of the facilities are of very good quality. It is a little far from the major tourist destinations and beaches however I feel that the price reflects this, and is fair. However, when we booked this villa it was advertised with air conditioning. That was a major prerequisite for booking, as the temperature reaches 35 deg +. There is only air con in the master bedroom downstairs, which you would be reluctant to occupy because the drains smell so unpleasant when they frequently block, which I see was an issue for the previous guests reviewing a YEAR ago but the owner, has since deleted their comments. We had to repeatedly complain about the drains, eventually half way through the stay they were unblocked. We're talking about raw sewerage coming up in the garden where the children play! Importantly there is no comprehensive inventory check when you arrive, so it's quite unnerving handing over a £700 cheque for a bond. We left the house in a cleaner state than when we arrived, although, maybe as we are all HM forces our standards may be a little high. There also was a volley ball net advertised. We bought a volley ball, to find no net. There are other minor issues that we could nit pick here, we only feel disheartened because when we pointed these things out, the owner replied with an email accusing us of stealing two balls and burning a table! Her answer to each of the comments that we had was “I dispute that” To finish despite the air con, basic rental safeguards and the attitude from the owner, who we have noted, has amended her description here, it's a good family villa. I am sure she will provide a better service for future customers. Response: This guest did unfortunately experience the septic tank overflowing. As soon as we were notified we arranged for it to be cleared. This year, 2012, we have fitted a completely new septic tank and there are absolutely no smells. All clients this year have thoroughly enjoyed their stay and we have had no complaints. Air-conditioning is now installed in all four bedrooms. |
