Why not treat yourself to a little Luxury and Enjoy a wonderful meal
No mess, no fuss, no work for you. Everything is taken care of.
Vacations are about relaxing and having fun, not cooking. Whenever you would like to, you can order dinner or lunch, so you don't waste precious time standing in grocery store line-ups, cooking and preparing meals.
Let Villa Silvana’s private chef take care of the culinary details and delight your palate at every meal, if you wish, while you relax and enjoy your vacation.
The quality of the food and the preparation and presentation is excellent. Chef Semeraro provides a wonderful variety of Puglian cuisine - it is always fresh, local and organic.
Puglian food is wonderfully simple, so it can be enjoyed by the children and there is gourmet dishes for the adults as well. Even the timing of the prepared meal is specifically ordered for whenever you prefer, simply order with us the night before and Enjoy a Romantic dinner in your apartment or outside in your gardens the following day
For €35 a head the five course meal consists of
A fine selection of appetising Antipasti’s (starters.) A Delightful Primi (first course) either a local pasta or rice dish. A Succulent Secondi (meat course) normally a organic chicken, steak or local meat. Varied enjoyable contorni’s (side dishes) Crispy oven potatoes, fresh salads and Crunchy fresh vegetables. A heavenly Dolci (dessert) and fresh hot bread and a distinctive local wine.
Local Puglian Chef Archangelo Semeraro will arrive on your doorstep with an already prepared delicious Feast and serve your meal while you sit under the stars in your own private pagoda and sip the local wine, what better way to enjoy a relaxing evening, without having to worry about cooking or dining out. Not only is the food scrumptious but it takes all the stress out of worrying about what to cook that evening, particularly if you are exhausted after a hot day of sunbathing under the glorious Puglian sun
A meal fit for a king, what a perfect way to spend an evening.
Further details outdoors:
The jewel in the crown of the apartment are its grounds offering a feast of perfumes and colours and its swimming pool, is completely private and secluded but still allows wonderful views
Both the pool and the gardens have been designed to blend sympathetically with the land and are planted in a typical puglian style, wild and natural rather than formally landscaped.
Surprisingly even the noonday sun is never too much because of its fantastic hilltop position. The heat is always tempered by the gentle winds whispering in over the Adriatic, allowing you to laze under the palm umbrellas all day long.
This pool is ideal for all the family as each section and the stairs are gated for security and peace of mind and everyone can enjoy the Jacuzzi jets set into the steps, giving a soft massage after a refreshing swim.
A mural based on the puglian landscapes has been designed and painted by the artist Sam Oyelowo. It stands proud and striking, enhancing the jutting rock of the mountain, that bears the weight of the beautiful apartments above.
There is a good selection of sun loungers to choose from and also tables and chairs where you can eat lunch. In the evening as the cicadas start to sing, the lights enhance the old olive trees, allowing you to enjoy a cocktail as the light dims for another day.

The Puglia/Molise region

Puglia has a landscape that is dripping with History from roman times onwards which is evident in its extraordinary array of architecture. The Normans endowed Puglia with splendidly ornate cathedrals and the baroque exuberance of some towns are testament to the Spanish legacy. But if there is one symbol of Puglia that stands out it's the imposing castles and mystical Trulli that are built all over the province.
Puglia is the land of the grape. It is the source of 80% of Europe's pasta and most of Italy fish. It produces more wine than Germany and more olive oil than all of the other regions of Italy combined. Apulia has forests of twisted pines, ancient olives and huge old carob trees, acres of vineyards, losing ground to cherry and peach orchards. Junipers, sage and rosemary grow near the sea and because of its Mediterranean position plenty of tropical plants grow happily next to fields of grains and vegetables.
Here the tourist industry still remains wonderfully primitive, which is amazing considering how much this region has to offer.
The Fasano / Lamia di Olimpia area
Villa Silvana's apartments are ideally situated for exploring Puglia's beautiful architecture, wonderful tourist attractions and the interior landscapes.
There is an abundance of delightful towns all within close proximity to Villa Silvana. They all have an authentic Italian feel with year round street festa's, weekly market days and charming old centers dating back hundreds of years.
Only a few kilometers, down the hill, is Fasano, a beautiful ancient town which was subject to the Knights of Malta for many years. The hills (Selva di fasano) are a naturally wooded area rich in oak trees and perfect for stunning country walks.
A few kilometers drive into the interior are the towns of Ostuni, Martina Franca, Cisternino, Locorotondo and Alberobello.
Ostuni is an exquisite town known as the 'White City' because of its white washed streets surrounded by medieval walls, a visit is highly recommended. Martina Franca is a town with a tangible Moorish flavour, it has a medieval center adorned with some of the most subtle examples of baroque architecture that you'll find.
Cisternino and Locorotondo are both small charming towns, with whitewashed historic centers both obviously influenced by the Greeks. Also you can view the Valle d'itria from here, where some of puglias prettiest landscapes can be seen.
Of course the Trulli have always been an important tourist attraction for Puglia, their intrinsic beauty has capture the heart and soul of many. Alberobello is also only a short drive from the apartments, there is over a thousand of these magical limestone dwellings, standing out against the bright blue sky, they create a beautiful exotic scene, almost like a fairy tale, it is impossible to see anything like it, anywhere else in the world.
Also just a few kilometers away is the zoo-safari Fasanolandia. This is the greatest animal park in Italy, where 1000's of animals can be observed, kept free, in a completely protected area. There is also a dolphinarium and an amusement park for all ages.
If you are a lover of long leisurely lunches and relaxing dinners, where the wine flows, the food just keeps coming and the bill is surprisingly cheap, then you’ll be glad to know that the Restaurants, Trattoria’s, Osteria’s, Pizzeria’s, bars and cafes in Puglia are not only incredibly reasonable, but well renowned for their freshness and taste. The food, its preparation and consumption is the focal point of Italian life, so when you eat out in any establishment you will never feel like you’ve eaten merely to refuel but rather to experience a sensory delight. We can recommend some fantastic restaurants, some even within walking distance.
Whether you want the latest Gucci designs, antiques or just a good rummage around a local market, there is something for everyone in Puglia. Because of Villa Silvana’s prime location, strutting your stuff in Passegiata with the locals or being seen to be seen and enjoying the shops, is easy, as the apartments are near many of these small towns, that come alive at night.
There are many markets on in the surrounding villages that we can recommend
There is a market in every town every week
Cisternino is on Monday, Monopoli and Noci are on Tuesday, Fasano and Poligano al Mare are on Wednesday, Alberobello is on Thursday, Locorotondo is on Friday, Ostuni is on Saturday and Torre Canne and Savelletri are on Sunday.
In the summer months Martina Franca hosts the famous “Itria Valley Festival” with theatres, concerts and Opera attracting music lovers from all over the world and you can also find many traditional festivals and concerts in most villages, almost every week in the summer. Our own village has two summer festivals in August and many other religious festivals throughout the year.

Guestbook for Apartment Bellavista
"Villa Silvana is by far the best equipped villa we have ever stayed in. The owners are friendly and helpful but also ensure your privacy. Sogni Di Favola was ideal for us and our 2 young children. The pool is lovely and the terrace area outside the apartment has breath taking views with as much space as you would need. Highlights for us were the local meal delivered to us at the villa cooked by a local chef, great value for money, delicious local food and so much of it! Night time visits to Locorotondo and Martina Franca are a must. Large selection of DVDs kept the kids happy while we enjoyed excellent local wine on our terrace. If you are looking for relaxation and appreciate authentic Italian holidays then this is the place for you. " thank you Mr and Mrs Glass, Suffolk

"The listing was accurate with excellent facilities with lovely pool and views accross the valley to the Adriatic.
It was clean and well maintained with all mod cons. Susan and Michael were extremely hospitable and helpful providing lots of info about the surrounding area, markets and restaurants. A great pizzaria just down the road!. We recommend the welcome hamper.
We would definitely recommend it to friends, Dave Jan and Jill Fligiel

Interesting garden and relaxing pool area." thanks Richard from wimbledon
"Villa Silvana June 2011"
"From the moment we arrived we felt relaxed and a million miles from our busy lives at home. Although compact, the accommodation had everything we needed, it was spotless and well equipped. Our hosts, Susannah and Michael struck a perfect balance, between being there for any enquiries or advice about the area, whilst allowing us the peace and tranquility we sought. Villa Silvana is in a wonderful location and has stunning views. It's 15 minutes from numerous beautiful towns and villages - you can sight see in the morning and come back to the Villa and chill by the pool in the afternoon, enjoying a glass of wonderful local wine. We ate in some great restaurants - a meal with no menu at the back of the local butchers shop, a lovely Osteria in the heart of Locorotondo (Osteria Antico), a Trulli restaurant (L'Arco Antico) that did great Pizza and steaks, an Italian Villa set in gorgeous grounds in the heart of the countryside (Villa Maria)...I could go on and on! Puglia is an amazing part of Italy, my husband and I have travelled throughout Italy but we found Puglia to be the most enchanting. If you crave a typical tourist destinantion do not go to Puglia, but if you want the Italy of yesteryear uncommercialised and relaxed, then this is the place to come. The countryside, food, people and overall atmosphere of the area is chilled, relaxed and truly wonderful and in this current economic climate, the Euro really did go a long way in Puglia. I would say that speaking a little Italian is very useful and a car is essential when staying at Villa Silvana but one word of warning .....prepare yourself for the crazy Italian driving, I am no shrinking violet behind the wheel of a car, but the Italians really do think that they have to get to their destination in the quickest possible time, regardless of any highway code!!!!!! Thank you, bev and Trevor Taylor
"Villa Silvana Mid June 2011"

It was very neat and clean and we all could sleep well.We loved having an almost private pool (shared with the owners) and being able to sit on the the nice terrace.Susan and Michael were very kind and helpful.Thank you very much for a fantastic holiday. Next year we’ll come definitely back to Villa Silvana. Dagmar and Bernard Rosenbaum
"Villa Silvana Mid July 2011"
We spent an extremely hot and relaxing two weeks at Villa Silvana. The rooftop terrace of Sogni da Favola apartment is a fantastic space to chill out and enjoy the wonderful view across the olive groves to the Adriatic. The boys particularly enjoyed the pool and we spent alternate days at the Villa Silvana and touring around gorgeous local white-washed hilltop towns as well as heading further afield to Monopoli and Lecce. The apartment itself was very comfortable and well equipped and we enjoyed the extensive DVD collection. Would we go back? Definitely! Family Smith, Tunbridge Wells, Kent, UK
