Completely refurbished in 2011, the cottage is in the centre of a row of three which nestle in a quiet, secluded courtyard accessed from Church Street through an old stone archway. It has its own reserved off road parking space just outside the front door and a large conservatory looking out onto a small south facing private patio garden.

The cottage has been re-decorated and re-carpeted throughout and is furnished to a high standard. Bed linen and towels are provided and telephone, WiFi and utilities are all inclusive.

The bright hallway leads into a well appointed and spacious sitting room with open fireplace, TV/DVD and DAB/CD player.

French windows open into a large conservatory with additional seating and dining area which, in turn, looks out onto a walled, south facing courtyard garden with table, chairs & umbrella.

Also on the ground floor is a newly fitted kitchen with ceramic hob, washing machine and microwave with a downstairs toilet off the hallway.

Upstairs is a double bedroom with a 4’6” double bed and double wardrobe and a single bedroom with 3’ bed, locker and chest of drawers. The bathroom has also been fully updated with a new keyhole bath and shower, hand basin, heated towel rail and toilet.

Faringdon makes a perfect holiday base. It is ideally placed for exploring Oxfordshire, Wiltshire, Gloucestershire and Berkshire and is on the threshold of the Cotswolds.

Faringdon

Faringdon is an historic market town nestling on the edge of the Cotswolds within easy access of the M4 and M40. There is a regular bus service which stops in the market place just 200 metres from the cottage and connects Faringdon to Oxford and Swindon train stations.

To the South of Faringdon is the Vale of the White Horse with the Ridgeway, Uffington Castle, White Horse Hill and Wayland’s Smithy all within a few miles. Further afield, Oxford is 30 minutes away with all that it offers and Swindon is 25 minutes away with the Steam Museum, Brunel Shopping Centre and the Designer Outlet Village.

Faringdon has been welcoming visitors for centuries. The town has unique shops as well as a variety of restaurants, coffee shops and pubs.

"Home from home"

I had the pleasure of staying in Church Mews with my 2 year old son for 3 weeks in March 2013. The house was very clean, comfortable and warm. It is tastefully decorated and I had everything I needed in the very well equipped kitchen. The beds were very comfortable and my son had no trouble sleeping through the night. The conservatory gives the house much needed space and it was great to have a dining table to sit at.
The house is in a nice quiet part of Faringdon. It is within easy reach of Swindon and Oxford and only 10 min from the M4
Harry and Fran were very welcoming and made themselves available if I needed anything.

"Super Accomodation"

Enjoyed a great 'short break' at Church Mews. The accomodation is well equipped with tasteful furnishing and fresh decoration. Harry met and welcomed us and introduced the facilities. Thoughtfully provided with basics in kitchen and soap and loo paper in the bathroom which was welcome after a long drive. There is a delightful sunroom and patio and off street parking
The village is lovely with local shops and not a 'twee' biscuit tin Cotswald village. The countryside roundabout was glorious and a variety of pubs with food were excellent.
We hope to return and recommend Church Mews as a base for local exploring.
Excellent wi-fi with a slightly dodgy TV signal the only criticism.
