Everything in the cottage is new with three bedrooms, two with double beds and one with a Joseph bunk bed, which is a double bed and a single bed on top - great for kids sharing a room.
On the ground floor there is a separate living room, dining room and fully fitted kitchen. All bedding is supplied along with towels etc.
The cottage is an ideal place to come and relax with your friends and family or use as a base to explore the stunning local countryside and coastline. Further details outdoors:
The grounds of the cottage are continually being being improved and there is an area which is still to be landscaped , therefore we have a reduced rent for this season for that reason but it will not affect your stay.
Keep a watch out for the wildlife we have seen in the grounds of the cottage - rabbits are easily spotted! Deer normally once a day if you are keen eyed, badgers for the night watchers and the funniest creature of all - a very cheeky weasel. Overhead look out for the kestrel who often sits on the telegraph pole by the cottage and at the river the heron who catches his dinner close by to the bridge. Buzzards have also been spotted.
Further details
The cottage is available for weekends or full weeks. If you wish to stay for more than one week bedding will be changed after 7 days and the cottage cleaned. Visitors with pets are more than welcome, smokers are welcome but we ask that you smoke outside only.

had a lovely week, we were very suprised with the size of the grounds and the cottage was very adequate for four adults one child and two dogs, the cottage is set out well with full amenities but the washing machine does need some tlc. weather was great so spent most of the week with the doors open so the dogs could do as they pleased. had some good days out around gosport and fareham. having spent my childhood years in stubbington we know the area well. within twenty miles of the cottage you have numerous places to visit such as the spinaker tower in portsmouth, browndown training camp and beach, hillhead beach is a private beach so dogs can go on all year round. the butchers in wickham does some nice cuts of meat and sausages. stubbington has a nice lawn and good wine shop. at gosport you can catch the ferry to portsmouth for about £3.00 and then go on the five harbour tour for £7.00 well worth it . the cottage is fitted out well on the inside cosy bathroom but then again i didnt plan my holiday around the size of the rooms. we had some good nights sat in the garden with the bbq and the fire pit. at night it is sooooo peacefull there is no noise what so ever. sleept like a baby every night. |

I stayed at Dell Cottage with 3 girlfriends for a short getaway from it all! the cottage itself is perfect! we found it to be very well equipped throughout, nicely decorated and spotlessly clean and such a magnificent location! The local village of Wickham has some lovely restaurants, we had dinner in the Wickham Winebar, the food and service were both spot on, and the local pubs that we tried were all very friendly and welcoming, which we found to be the case with the local people in general. All in all it was a fantastic weekend and we will definately be returning to Dell Cottage. |

we were a group of 4 adults and 2 children and enjoyed a wonderful stay at Dell cottage which is set in a delightful rural location with safe enclosed grounds for the children. There are all amenities within a few mins drive and the local pub (walking distance!) serves great food and the locals are v.friendly! The cottage is decorated to a high standard, v.clean and the kitchen was fully equipped There was plenty to do with the coast only being a 10 min drive , there are plenty of walks from the cottage and we enjoyed a fairly easy cycle ride along a disused railway line, shopping at Chesepeake mill and Wickham square has lovely shops, tea rooms, pubs , wine bar etc We definitely hope to return in the v.near future! |
