This modern 3 bedroom semi detached property is suitable for families of all ages. The property benefits from a ground floor bedroom for easy access and has full gas central heating. The property has stunning views across the private lake and out to Titchfield Haven. This property suits any one who enjoys walking, water sports, bird watching , or beach life. This setting is an ideal spot for relaxing.The garden is a natural, and shared with the owners of the main house and Penthouse above.

Inside the house are wooden oak floors and leather luxury sofas. Each room has its own en suite bathroom and television with free view digital TV. The kitchen is fully equipped and spacious with dishwasher, microwave and modern fixtures and fittings.

The separate utility room has a washing machine and tumble dryer and a large fridge freezer. From the sitting room there are french doors onto enclosed decking with seating for 10. The decking has a BBQ for those summer evenings.

The garden has ducks and wild birds that come across from the nature reserve along with deer and the occasional sighting of badgers from the set in the Haven.

The house has the benefit of wi fi... The kitchen is fitted with all modern kitchen appliances and has a separate utility room. There is a balcony from the master bedroom over looking the lake and a large decking area off the lounge. One of the bedrooms is down stairs for easy access. All bedrooms have their own bathroom. There is a separate toilet down stairs. There is laminate flooring throughout. All bedrooms have TV.

The garden has a secluded private decked area with a large gas BBQ and seating for 10 and is ideal to dine on those warm summer evenings. The lake is home to pet ducks and wild ducks who enjoy being fed by visitors (any wild bird food is acceptable/ ducks must not be fed bread/bird food can be purchased at the nearbyTtitchfield Haven). Pet friendly: There is a charge of £30 per week for one pet- please enquire.

Hampshire is a beautiful county encompassing the new forest national park the historic maritime city of Portsmouth picturesque villages and stunning coastlines. A very popular holiday destination with many tourist attractions appealing to the old and young alike.

Museums - Motor museum at Beaulieu, royal marines museum and D day museum in Portsmouth, Submarine museum. Adventure / Play - Paultons park (Southampton), Romsey rapids water park, Aquarium Southsea seafront, Piers and funfair Southsea, monkey business indoor adventure playground.

Hill Head is a small quaint beach resort which is sheltered and therefore often feels warmer than the other coastal beaches near by. The beach is with in walking distance and has a friendly pub The Osbourne view, named this as it offers views across the solent to Osbourne House on the Isle of Wight. It offers a large garden leading onto the beach. Lee on the Solent is a five min drive or a steady 20 min walk along the coast this has more tourist attractions with arcades and restaurants , cafes and ice cream parlours and gift shops. Alverstoke beach is a few miles on and has a beautiful restaurant Pebbles which has stunning views out to sea.

Fareham

Hill Head has panoramic views towards the Isle of Wight and Cowes. It is an easy walk along the promenade to Lee on the Solent, which has a water's edge playground. Salterns park (5min walk) is a fantastic Kite surfing and Windsurfing area that is home to some of the UK's top kite surfers. You can also take lessons there or just watch and enjoy the action. The property backs on to the Titchfield Haven Nature Reserve. Titchfield Haven is a nationally renowned nature reserve, celebrated as a winter refuge for a large variety of ducks, geese and wading birds, and as a summer breeding ground for the rare Avocet.

"Great house set in fabulous lake side gardens!"

I'm not sure the pictures in advert do this house and garden do it justice! House -very clean, well equipped, 3 bedrooms all with televisions and ensuite bathrooms! Garden - absolutely gorgeous complete with hammock, rope swing, bbq! You can even walk all round the lake! Great location close to beach and good pub/restaurant and within driving distance of huge variety of attractions. On booking I was bit apprehensive sharing garden and being close to neighbour/owners but I have to say it was just perfect. They were friendly and helpful without being obtrusive. Great rental property and great holiday.

"could be so much better"

I would like to add to the issues of the last review, we stayed for 3 weeks with 8 people occupying the house, we arrived at night, there was no light working in the hallway so struggled to see what w… More

The property was inspected before the guests arrived and was in perfect clean order. All guests should report straight away any concerns to the owner who lives next door. There is a full time house keeper in charge of the letting.The person that had booked had visited the property prior to booking the week before and to pay the balance . The property above has been there for over 9 months and is occupied by a quiet professional man who works full time. There was a problem with a blocked down stairs toilet which dynorod attended to within 2 days, the policy is that if the other toilets work they will not attend that day. The property sleeps up to 9 but we explain this property is best suited for 7. The other beds were put you up beds and they have now been removed from the property and our web site amended accordingly. On arrival lights are left on at the property. It appeared that the power had tripped, however this was sorted by myself, the owner by flicking the fuse board. The pump had blocked in the downstairs toilet causing the trip. It is always our priority to ensure that guests have a comfortable stay and for this reason we always take comments seriously. There is digital tv with free view in every room along with broad band. The virgin boxes had been removed but were never part of the holiday package. We have checked all TVs and they appear to be working fully. With regards to the return of the deposit all guests that pay using a bank card or paypal will have their deposit returned within 5 working days. In this case the person booking required a return by cheque. We apologised for the delay over this christmas period.

"A lovely house but ......"

A really lovely house set in beautiful gardens. It has the facility to sleep 9 - there were only 6 diningroom chairs. But there were 11 garden chairs! For a group of 9 I would expect 1 or 2 extra large saucepans. There were 5 "standard" large ones with 1 lid between them and then a medium saucepan, with lid, that had been burnt and not cleaned properly.
there were 15 champagne flutes 14 wine glasses and 22 egg cups. The 2 slot toaster wasn't big enough to toast a large slice without turning it. The automatic ignition for the gas hob wasn't working and the 2 gas lighters provided didn't work either, matches were provided. The 2 fire blankets weren't fixed in their correct positions, one being tucked in a small gap at the end of a cupboard range out of view and the other in the bottom of a drawer of odds and ends. No smoke alarm was fitted at the top of the staircase to provide early warning of an incident on the upper floor. There were two glass display cabinets in the kitchen taking up valuble space. It would appear that not alot of thought had gone into equiping the kitchen. With respect, I would like the owners to stay there at full capacity for a week and cook each evening so that they can then understand what is necessary. The door shelves in the kitchen fridge were broken, one was missing altogether, therefore milk had to be stored in the vegetable drawers or in the utility room fridge-freezer. The freezer drawer fronts were also broken. We were left 4 dishwasher tablets for 8 of us for a week. There was exposed wiring in the hall over the coat hooks, we assume work was in progress. In the downstairs bedroom there was nowhere to hang clothes. The cupboard where the cleaner was kept would have made an ideal wardrobe and a soft broom to keep the floors in check would have been very useful.
Both of our sons complained of backache and on inspection we noticed the walls of 4 of the 6 mattresses used had collapsed walls, even with no weight on them. In the twin upstairs bedroom a proper wardrobe would have been better than the canvas one provided.
The information folder told us how far away the nearest supermarket was but failed to tell us how to get there.
Having said all this our week wasn't spoilt, it's just a pity that it was badly equipped and lacked some simple maintenance.

We wish to respond to the point about dining chairs there are in fact 9 dining chairs provided however they are not all placed around the table to give moe space. We regularly have large groups and they havent mentioned that 5 large pans wasnt enough. We will place an extra large pan thank you for briging this to our attention. We have smoke alarms in the hall way as directed by fire safetey. We are very particular with regards cleanlines and have a full time house keeper on the grounds at all times. Any issues could have been reported and sorted at the time. The mattresses are a year old on all 7 beds however the put you up mattresses are now going to be replaced. We do however stress these are put you up beds and the mattresses are not of such high quality.The wires are for an alarm system and are not live therefore no danger to anyone. We are sorry that you found the property to be average we pride ourselves in providing a high class holiday home and will take on board your feedback.

"beautiful"

what a lovely tranquil setting. its nice and quiet and we spend an enjoyable time sitting next to the pond watching all the wildlife. the house was great, and the welcome basket of goodies much appreciated. it has all mod cons and the 3 en-suites meant no arguing for the bathroom in the mornings. within walking distance of the sea and a couple of pub/restaurants which meant no one had to drive. plenty to keep you busy nearby, its a lovely area, great for visiting the isle of wright and even a wee trip to france. the 'neighbours', lisa, di and john are really friendly. we had a great time there and would certainly go back. i am already recommending still waters to my friends.

"If you can find better than this - book it!"

This is everything you'd want from a holiday rental. Very well equipped, well looked after and beautifully situated. Minutes from the beach and the Osborne View pub (which has an excellent menu, a good garden and fabulous views) Still Waters is as peaceful or as active as you want. The decked patio is the perfect spot for a bbq, the upstairs balcony has amazing views and the whole area oozes tranquility. Ok, if you really want to be picky, the pond is a bit weedy, the moorhens can be a bit vocal and you'd need to keep your eye on young children when they're playing in the garden, but you'd do that anyway wouldn't you, just like being on the beach? It's a lovely house in a lovely location and run by lovely, helpful people. Finally, the area has so much to offer - from shops to history to golf to just absorbing the views. Stop searching for anything better in this area - you won't find it!

"Great house suitable for families/friends with older kids because of pond."

Enjoyed our stay. House well presented but pond a problem because of young children. Needed dish cloths/tea towels/couple of washing tablets/washing up liquid.

There is a large enclosed balcony/ decking area for children to play, which is joined to the property with seating and views of the garden. We do recommend children are supervised in the garden. Small children love it here feeding the chickens and rabbits. The beach is also fun for families.
