About the home
The Anchorage, which is available for short and long stays, is situated in the historical village of Wickham, ideally located for golf, fishing & cycling. Close to Southampton, Portsmouth, The New Forest and the Isle of Wight.
The deceptively spacious cottage offers a quarry tiled entrance hall leading to the lounge. With double fronted bay windows, wooden floors, original fireplace with character woodburner and leather sofas this is the ideal place to relax and unwind watching your favourite DVD on the large flat screen television.
The fully equipped cottage kitchen looks out onto the well kept enclosed garden. Should you wish to cater for yourselves you can linger over dinner in the elegant dining room which has a large open fire. The dining table can seat a maximum of 12 guests comfortably. French doors lead onto a patio and garden.
With 3 double bedrooms, one with a Super King size bed and en suite wet room. The further 2 bedrooms with double beds share a bathroom which has a roll top bath and separate shower. Bedroom 1 and 2 are large enough to accommodate a ' z' bed ( 2 are available).

The Fareham / Wickham area
The Anchorage is situated in Wickham Square. The village offers a selection of shops and restaurants, one of which is the award winning The Old House Restaurant known for its fine cuisine.
The historical market town of Wickham, situated near the River Meon is the ideal place to relax and unwind, or if you prefer to be more active there is ample fishing, golfing, cycling and walk ways close by. The river Meon is just a short walk from The Anchorage and follows the old Watercress Railway line. The Forest of Bere is a short stroll and offers a mixture of woodland, farmland, open space, downland and heathland.

Directions to the hotel from the East
Exit motorway M27 at Junction 10 and join A32 northbound (sign posted to Alton)
At roundabout on the outskirts of Wickham (adjacent to Shell garage) take left exit (A334) and then turn right into the square
The Old House Hotel is situated at the top end of the square on the right.
Directions to the hotel from the West
Exit motorway M27 at Junction 7 (signed Hedge End)
(Please note: there is no exit for eastbound traffic at Junction 10. However, it is possible to exit at Junction 11 and rejoin the Motorway travelling westbound to exit at Junction 10. At this point follow Directions to the hotel from the East (above))
Follow A334 through Botley and continue to Wickham
Wickham Square is on the left after the lights at the pedestrian crossing
The Old House Hotel is situated at the top end of the square on the right
Directions to the hotel from the North
Exit motorway M3 at Junction 11 (signed A3090, Twyford and Bishop's Waltham)
Follow road through Twyford
Turn left at Colden Common (Fisher's Pond Public House on corner of T Junction) onto B2177 (signed Marwell Zoo and Bishop's Waltham) and continue past Bishop's Waltham to Wickham
In Wickham, the Square is on the left after pedestrian crossing lights
The Old House is situated at the top end of the square on the right
