"lovely, spacious unit oozing character and with easy access to south-west England"

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Old Bakery in Fareham and were charmed by the building's "quirkyness" - exactly what we had traveled from Canada to the UK to find! Plenty of room for the 5 of us, comfortable, relaxed and clean accommodations and surprisingly quiet. Jayne and Bob were just next door and of great help when we needed it. Lesley was very professional and organized with all her information and transactions. We used the unit as a base to visit Portsmouth, New Forest, Winchester and Salisbury, among other places. The kids were able to walk 5 minutes to the pedestrian shopping district of Fareham and there were a number of pubs and restaurants just down the street. I would recommend the Old Bakery to anyone who is considering a base in the area

"Love it here - 2nd visit"

This was our second visit to The Old Bakery and we stayed for 3 weeks this time whilst visiting family in the area. The cottage is surprisingly large with 3 good sized bedrooms and with the added bonus of a bathroom and a shower room. The kitchen is superb quality and is so well equipped with everything you will ever want and it leads in to a really good size dining room to the rear. The well kept private garden is a little gem which gets the sun for most of the day and is tended by a local gardener. We had a clean and change of linen and towels every week so a special thanks to Jayne who looked after us so well. I can't rate this property highly enough and communication with the owner was excellent. They tended to a couple of our requests without hesitation and it was much appreciated. Very easy to book and we will definitely be staying again.

"excellent"

The old Bakery in central Fareham was the perfect situation for our visit to friends and family in the area. I was a little concerned about it being on the high street (our 2yearold grandaughter needs her sleep!)but my fears were unfounded we were not disturbed at all by the traffic. We started every day with a buffet breakfast which was a delight to prepare in the modern and well equipped kitchen . The bedrooms are spacious a newly bought travelling cot is available and released us of the need to bring one with us. The two bathrooms make for an easy start to the day or when getting ready to go out. Lovely feel to the place more like living in a home than a rental. All correspondance with the owner has been excellent. We are hoping for an excuse to book again!!
