We had a wonderful time in this apartment in the hills outside Rome. The views were breathtaking, overlooking olive groves. During our stay at the apartment we saw the area covered in snow and bathed in glorious sunshine! The apartment itself was very good, with all the facilties you need for an enjoyable and comfortable stay. Antonio and Jette were extremely helpful hosts, helping us to unload our luggage on the first night, providing us with a few groceries for breakfast when we were too late arriving at the property to buy supplies at the local supermarket and sorting out teething problems with the internet connection. We would not hesitate to return to the apartment, perhaps sometime during the summer months when we could make use of the swimming pool! |

Good location, beautiful landscape, nice appartment, everything perfect.
Perfect for a relaxing holliday - if you want "touristic atmosphere", this is not the place. True Italy, far away from everything, and yet Rome within an hour!!!

Dear Jette, dear Antonio,
Back home after a pleasant holiday we want to thank you for your hospitality, your warm welcome, your help in finding the appropriate
shops, the help with car problems etc etc.
We felt really at home in your beautiful house with the large rooms, the bath rooms, and the suitable interior and the right inventory of the kitchen.
We enjoyed also the fine swimming pool, and we appreciated the barbecue and used it some times twice a day.
We enjoyed the trips in the Sabinian mountains and to Rome, but also the panoramic view from your garden. The name "Belvedere"is well chosen! We'll come back!!!
Kind regards,

First time in Italy, and we loved it from start to finish. It started with a detailed travel description how to drive from the airport to the house. Very handy when you are not familiar with the car and the way Italians drive around Rome. Jette and Antonio gave us a warm welcome with some great tips for dining and ancient towns in the area. The house and the rooms were very clean and everything was working well. We made some nice road trips to Cottanello and Roccantica which are just beautiful little villages to walk around. The house is just 10 minutes away from the train station which will take you to Rome in about 45 minutes. And after a few days of walking in Rome the garden and the swimming pool are exactly what you need to get a nice vacation feeling. The Bbq place with a great overview over the hills is lovely and if you are lucky a sunset at the end of the day.
You won’t be surprised if we would recommend everybody to visit Collebelvedere! Thank you again so much!

Already our holiday at Collebelvedere is a memory but one that will last for a long time.
For all those who are looking for a piece of heaven on earth, Collebelvedere is the place to be. The views are magniificent, the sunsets wonderful and the whole experience was one of peace and tranquillity.
Though quite difficult to find, it is well worth it and once through the gates it's difficult to drag oneself away. However, the whole of the Sabine hills are within easy reach, there are some lovely little towns and villages and Farfa abbey is absolutely not to be missed. There are plenty of good restaurants to be found, though because of the current exchange rate, fairly expensive. The cooking facilities in the appartments are adequate and since here are plenty of local markets with fresh local produce, it's a pleasure to cook and then have a leisurely meal in the open air.
Though we didn't go into the city, for those who wish to see the "sights" it's not a difficult journey. The coast too is reachable as are the main Etruscan sites. Umbria too is only a short trip up the motorway.

Thank you for everything. Collebelvedere is a great place to enjoy everything the area has to offer. Your villa was just right for our group of 6 adults (3 couples). The area is spectacular and just about 40 minutes from Roma Central by car. The clean and comfortable apartment is tranquil and serene after a hectic day in Rome. We very much enjoyed cooking a light meal or two when we got tired of restaurant food and the kitchen was adequate for all our needs. We would definitely recommend Collebelvedere to anyone who wants a more relaxed and friendly atmosphere than one can get in any hotel. Also Antonio and Jette have a wealth of information about the area and are eager to help suggest itineraries. Thank you again so much!

Thank you for two wonderful weeks at your lovely place. When we booked the holiday we couldn´t belive that it would be so great.
We were four adults and five children, we stayed at the biggest apartment and it was perfect for two families. The pool was loved by
everyone and we used it every day, before we got there we planned to go to different lakes and the seaside. We went to the coast one
day, the rest of our vacation we used your lovely pool.
The barbecue terrace with the beautiful view was amacing! Villa Collebelvedere really is a fantastic place but the best of all is YOU and your family, how you and Jette helped us with everything.

The sunsets from Collebelvedere are something not to be missed, as is the peace and quite. Being where it is, Collebelvedere is just in the right spot to be reached from Rome’s international airport and to reach major cities like Rome itself (in less than an hour we were just outside the Vatican), or Rieti. Driving round those hills and lakes helps one to appreciate the serenity and fresh air of the hills outside Rome . I highly recommend Collebelvedere to anyone who wants a home away from home.

Jette and Antonio's hospitality was evident right from the start of our holiday and they could not do enough to help and make us feel welcome.
The accommodation itself was excellent in size and very clean, with an excellent space for outside dining and a well maintained pool in the garden.
The location is excellent for accessing the regular trains to Rome or exploring the surrounding countryside and its picturesque Medieval towns.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this accommodation, or indeed returning to it in the future.

We discovered this little piece of paradise just outside of Rome.
From start to finish we were delighted by the family's attention to detail in all aspects of our holiday.
The family responded very quickly to our initial enquiry and provided comprehensive advice and information on how best to travel and how to find the villa. We arrived late but were given an excellent welcome.
We awoke that first day and wow what a treat awaited us outside. The view was stunning and our location was idyllic.
The villa was charming a delight. The accommodation was just like being at home, spacious, clean and homely. Despite the heat the villa kept nice and cool. The family were always willing to provide help and information, they truly went above and beyond the call of what you normally expect from hosts.
The location to the nearest station was some 20 mins and within 30 mins your were in the centre of Rome.
We loved everything about the villa, its location and the owners were truly the icing on the cake.
5 stars from start to finish, would we recommend yes and we have. Would we go back, off course and hope to return next year.

"Collebelvedere is truly 'the best of Italy.' Perfectly located a short drive from Rome, in the rustic, gently rolling countryside and yet with quick access to the Autostrada. Amazingly, it was a very spacious and comfortable home away from home for our family of seven.
Jette and Antonio's warm hospitality are the crowning touch. One does not go to Italy to see hotels. Collebelvedere gives you real Italy..at home. We could not recommend it more highly."

In June 2005 we had a wonderful holiday in Jette and Antonio’s “Collebelvedere 2” which is situated on a hillside in the Sabine Mountains. There is a splendid view of the surrounding hills, and the dome of St. Peter’s in Rome can be seen on a clear day from the garden! “Collebelvedere” is a splendid starting point for trips to Rome – 30 minutes by train – and for excursions in the beautiful neighbourhood with it’s medieval villages, monasteries, churches, markets.... The flat is comfortable, well-equipped and cool! Returning from a hot day in Rome or from a tour in the neighbourhood it is most pleasant to return to “Collebelvedere” and have a refreshening swim in the lovely swimmimg-pool.
We had all our meals on one of the terraces and it was great to enjoy good food and wine in the soft Italian nights.
Jette and Antonio are a charming couple and fantasic hosts. Their helpfulness and hospitality made our holiday unforgettable.
We can warmly recommend a stay at “Collebelvedere”.
